Roles & Responsibilities

Role Overview:

Join a leading banking client's Capital Markets IT division as a Solutions Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-wide Market Data Services. You will play a critical role in building a robust Enterprise Data Management (EDM) system supporting functions across Treasury, Risk, Finance, Wholesale, and Retail Banking globally.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership & Project Management
  • Lead and grow a team of Market Data Analysts and technical staff.
  • Act as the primary gatekeeper for project requirements—review and validate all new requests.
  • Ensure project governance processes and communication protocols are followed.
2. Solutions Architecture & Design
  • Design end-to-end architecture for enterprise-level Market Data Services.
  • Develop and maintain architecture blueprints, standards, and frameworks for:

    Data sourcing from vendors (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters, Super-D)

    Data quality checks and validation

    Data transformation and distribution across multiple platforms
3. Implementation & Delivery
  • Lead the implementation of NeoXam DataHub and similar EDM solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal infrastructure, security, and change management teams for deployment and support.
  • Work closely with external vendors throughout the software development lifecycle.
Required Skills & Experience:
A. Market Data & EDM Expertise
  • Strong hands-on experience with NeoXam DataHub, Markit, or similar EDM platforms.
  • Proven ability to design and implement data models and establish golden sources of truth.
  • Experience managing enterprise-level data distribution to downstream systems.
B. Capital Markets Knowledge
  • In-depth understanding of market data across asset classes: Interest Rates, Equities, FX, Commodities, Derivatives, etc.
  • Front-office domain knowledge is essential; experience in Murex or capital markets systems is a plus but not mandatory.
C. Technical & Functional Skills
  • Strong techno-functional profile combining business understanding and technical delivery.
  • Experience with big data technologies (Cloudera) and data flow architecture.
  • Familiarity with Python or other data analysis tools is an advantage.
Project Background:

This role is part of a strategic initiative under an optional regulatory regime, offering high exposure and strong value to your career profile. The key focus is on building a time-series-based market data platform supporting:

  • FRTB IMA (Internal Models Approach) for market risk calculations
  • Data processing, analytics, and rules engine integration using Cloudera
  • Integration with systems like Murex, MRS (Market Risk System), and MRW (Market Risk Warehouse)
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Proven leadership in market data architecture and implementation.
  • Able to act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in market and referential data.
  • Comfortable working across front-to-back office user groups and managing senior stakeholders.
  • Skilled in balancing architectural governance with agile delivery.
