As an IT Operations Lead, you play an important key role as one of the pillars of the IT team that keeps the organization pumping.

Description

We are seeking an IT Operations Lead to oversee the day-to-day operational management of a fintech platform in a highly regulated Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) environment.

This role is responsible for ensuring system availability, security, compliance, and operational efficiency while leading a team of IT professionals and working closely with vendors, security teams, and regulatory bodies.

Additionally, the ideal candidate should have experience debugging and troubleshooting Outsystems applications, ensuring system stability and performance within a low-code environment.

Key Responsibilities:

IT Operations & Platform Management

• Oversee the daily operations, performance, and stability of the fintech platform.
• Manage incident resolution, root cause analysis, and service restoration to minimize downtime.
• Ensure adherence to SLAs, ITIL processes, and best practices for IT service management.
• Proactively monitor system performance, security events, and operational risks.
• Implement automated monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions to enhance system reliability.

Outsystems Debugging & Low-Code Platform Support

• Troubleshoot and debug Outsystems applications, resolving performance and stability issues.
• Work with development teams to analyze and optimize Outsystems-based applications for scalability.
• Monitor Outsystems environments, identifying and addressing potential failures or inefficiencies.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure seamless deployments and minimize operational disruptions.
• Maintain proper documentation of issues, fixes, and operational procedures related to Outsystems applications.

Compliance & Regulatory Adherence (MAS, TRM, GDPR, PDPA)

• Ensure IT operations meet MAS Technology Risk Management (TRM) and Outsourcing Guidelines.
• Implement and enforce IT security policies, data protection controls, and access management.
• Support audits, risk assessments, and compliance reporting for regulatory bodies.
• Work with security teams to enforce cybersecurity, threat detection, and response protocols.

Incident & Change Management

• Lead the Incident Response Team, ensuring timely resolution and escalation of critical issues.
• Manage and implement IT change control processes to minimize operational risks.
• Drive post-incident reviews and implement continuous improvement plans.
• Establish disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BCP) testing plans to ensure resilience.

Infrastructure & Cloud Operations

• Oversee the cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premise environments.
• Manage network security, firewalls, VPNs, and endpoint security tools.
• Ensure robust backup, failover, and disaster recovery mechanisms are in place.
• Optimize cloud and IT infrastructure costs while maintaining high availability.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

• Liaise with third-party vendors, managed service providers (MSPs), and cloud providers.
• Ensure vendors comply with service agreements, security requirements, and MAS outsourcing rules.
• Work closely with product teams, developers, and security teams to support business needs.
• Provide regular reports on system health, security incidents, and operational performance.

Team Leadership & IT Governance

• Lead, mentor, and develop an IT operations team to drive efficiency and excellence.
• Implement best practices in IT governance, ITIL frameworks, and DevSecOps methodologies.
• Conduct training sessions on IT security, operational policies, and compliance requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Expertise

• 7+ years of experience in IT operations, system administration, or infrastructure management.
• Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid cloud architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Linux/Windows servers, networking, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Splunk, Datadog, Prometheus, ELK stack).
• Experience with IT automation, scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash), and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Jenkins).
• Proficiency in Outsystems debugging and troubleshooting, with experience identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks in low-code environments.

Regulatory & Security Knowledge

• Deep understanding of MAS TRM Guidelines, PDPA, GDPR, and financial industry regulations.
• Knowledge of security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS controls).
• Experience with SIEM, endpoint security, identity access management (IAM), and SOC operations.
• Strong understanding of data protection, encryption, and secure networking principles.

Operational & Leadership Skills

• Proven track record in incident management, disaster recovery, and IT governance.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience working in a regulated fintech environment.
• Ability to lead and mentor a team, driving operational excellence.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ITIL Certification (ITIL v4).
• AWS/Azure Certified Solutions Architect or relevant cloud certifications.
• CISSP, CISM, or other cybersecurity certifications.
• Experience in DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools.
• Experience working with Outsystems Service Center, Lifetime, and error logs for debugging.
