This position is to forecast, business partnering, partially centralized payables, billing and receivables functions for Singapore and Malaysia. This includes managing the transitional processes for day-to–day operations.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for year-end forecast and budgeting and periodic reviews
  • Responsible for month end deliverables
  • Responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction for Finance team in Singapore, and Malaysia.
  • Spearhead process improvement to enhance forecast accuracy, productivity and scalability
  • Become a trusted business partner to Operations – drive operational efficiency and savings.
  • Enforce operational compliance working closely with Financial Controllership and Procurement functions.
  • Support outsourced partners and validate output of financial statements, cash flow management, prepare forecasts, reports and analysis making balance sheets based on national and international accounting standards.
  • Liaise with auditors and tax agents for year-end audit and tax where appropriate
  • Authorize and oversees the processing of revenue, expenditure, and account maintenance and data entry.
  • Develops and implements finance, accounting billing, and internal auditing procedures.
  • To supervise & coach subordinate(s) in daily operation.
  • Review and analyze P&L; ensure that proper accruals are made at month-end close.

Qualifications Summary

Experience:

This position requires a minimum of 10-12 years' relevant work experience, with a proven track record in MNCs

Education:

Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) strongly preferred.

Skills:

  • Demonstrated expertise in logistics, supply chain, or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of regional accounting standards, regulations, and tax frameworks.
  • Exceptional ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks while maintaining high attention to detail.
  • Outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills, with a knack for building trust and collaboration.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and tools (e.g., ERP software, Excel)
