A Day in the Life

The Facility Technician will be responsible to maintain all utility systems for the manufacturing facility in optimal operating conditions, carrying-out periodical controls and inspections for preventive maintenance, and where necessary, unplanned maintenance.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Facilities maintenance such as cleanroom equipment, compressors, chillers, blowers and air-conditioning units
  • Attend to routine maintenance and ad-hoc repairs of mechanical, electrical and building facilities
  • Repair faulty equipment or systems to ensure the facilities is fully operational and efficient at all times
  • Work closely with operations to provide support on facilities matters
  • Supervise contractors and liaise with other operational teams for building upgrading works and improvements.
  • To assist documentation work related to quality and compliance.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Requires High school diploma or equivalent, Vocational or Technical education or Certification
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in Mechanical or Electrical Servicing
  • Handling Mechanical System – maintenance of Building Systems and DI water skid, piping modification and installation, electrical maintenance, and equipment maintenance & trouble shooting
  • Strong communication skills to participate in multicultural and multi-departmental teams, and to lead a local technical team. Good communication skills with people from all levels in the organization.
  • Able to solve technical, logistic and human conflicts and problems.
