NIE invitessuitable applications for the position ofExecutive with the Office of TeacherEducation and Undergraduate Programmes (TEUP),specialising in Teacher Leadership &Diploma. The successful candidate will support theplanning, administration, and management of initial teacherpreparation programmes, as well as in-service programmes andcourses conducted by the Office.

KeyResponsibilities:

TheExecutive will assist the Manager, Teacher Leadership &Diploma, in the efficient planning and management of variousteacher preparation and professional development programmes. Thisrole ensures smooth programme administration for the DiplomaProgrammes, Teacher Leaders Programmes, and Pre-DISE. Thesuccessful candidate will also be involved in supporting theadministrative processes related to Singapore Teaching Practicesand Pedagogical Practices. Additional duties include supporting theplanning and execution of key events, such as the Teacher LeadersProgrammes Orientation and the Dr. Ruth Wong Professorship inTeacher Education.

Responsibilities include, butare not limited to:
  • Responding toemail inquiries in a professional and timelymanner.
  • Assisting with timetabling and courseallocation.
  • Coordinating the Teacher LeadersProgramme Orientation.
  • Liaising with externalorganizations for event-relatedquotations.
  • Collating and analyzing programmefeedback.
  • Assisting the Assistant Dean,Diploma, with Diploma and Pre-DISE programme-relatedmatters.
  • Supporting the Assistant Dean, TeacherLeadership and Professional Inquiry with Teacher LeadersProgrammes, Singapore Teaching Practices and Pedagogical Practicematters.
  • Managing and updating students'academic plans.
  • Maintaining an organized filingsystem for programme documents.
  • Updatingprogramme structures in the institution's ITsystem.
  • Revising and updating programmehandbooks as required.
  • Preparing academic plansfor out-of-sync students.
  • Coordinating withvarious NIE departments and schedulingmeetings.
  • Recording meeting minutes and takingnotes during student feedbacksessions.
  • Performing other duties as assignedto support the Teacher Leadership and Diplomaunit.
Requirements:
  • MinimumDiploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Relevantwork experience in student support or programme administration ispreferred, ideally in a tertiary educationalenvironment.
  • Strong administrative andorganizational skills, with a keen attention todetail.
  • Highly motivated, resourceful, andcapable of working both independently and collaboratively, underpressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, andverbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency inMicrosoft Office Suite; experience with digital tools and systemsis preferred.
  • Previous experience in operationsor management within an educational institution would be anadvantage.
