About CSSD

China-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park Development Group Co., Ltd. (CSSD) is the joint-venture master developer set up by the governments of Singapore and China in 1994, to develop the flagship bilateral project Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP). In 2019, CSSD was successfully listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange. Today, CSSD is one of the largest township developers in China, and has replicated the successful SIP model, with multiple locations in Mainland China (Nantong, Chuzhou, Jiashan, Yinchuan and Changshu) under its portfolio of large-scale township development projects. CSSD has 3 main subsidiaries (that focuses on business park spaces, sustainability and investments) that support its overall vision and growth strategy.

CSSD also undertakes investment promotion and industry developmentfor SIP and CSSD township projects, with a mission to create long term sustainable economic growth and a vibrant business environment.

Outside of China, together with our strategic partner JTC Corporation, CSSD has established the "CSSD International Business Cooperation Centre" (IBCC), a 4700 sqm facility located in Singapore's one-north district. IBCC focuses on creating a business platform for inbound Chinese investments into/ through Singapore and Singapore-based companies planning to venture into the China market.

Role we are hiring for

We are looking for 1candidate to join CSSD Singapore in the following position:

· Executive (Investment promotion &business development) - minimumrequirement of 2 years of working experience.

Candidates with minimumof 6 years or 9 years of relevant working experiencecan be considered for the Senior Executive and Principal Executive role respectively. This role will report to the General Manager of CSSD Singapore.

What the role will primarily be working on

1. Undertake investment promotion and industry development activities and work with competitive businesses (both Chinese and international ones) to assist them in the decision-making process of investment/ business expansion into China/ within China/ out of China
2. Identifying and evaluating strategic opportunities and partnerships that are aligned with CSSD's interest

What we expect of the candidate

1. Be motivated to independently research, identify and engage prospectivebusinesses to build a strong pipeline for investment promotion opportunities into SIP and CSSD's township projects
2. Build a sound understanding of regional industry and business trends
3. Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing businesses in the team'spipeline that are looking to invest into CSSD's township projects
4. Speak, read, type and communicate effectively in Chinese
5. Be comfortable with the high level of interaction with China-origin business owners, China business ecosystem stakeholders and relevant China government officials
6. Assist new and existing clients and their key stakeholders in resolving various issues throughout their decision-making process
7. Contribute to the day-to-day operations of the "CSSD International Business Cooperation Centre"
8. Build partnerships and expand the CSSD ecosystem to generate meaningful collaborations and positive outcomes
9. Organize and staffincoming and outgoing official delegation visits by government/ corporate visitors
10. Occasional business travelling is expected
11. Actively contribute to ad-hoc projects tasked to CSSD Singapore by higher management

What we are looking for

1. SingaporeCitizen or Singapore Permanent Resident
2. Bachelor's Degree, with minimum of 2 years working experience
3. A mature outlook and a sincere interest in current affairs, geopolitical trends and business development in China and ASEAN
4. A sound understanding of how politics, business, trade, and technology trends are interconnected
5. Excellent interpersonal and effective communication skills
6. High level of initiative, resourcefulness and good organizational skills
7. Preference will be made for candidates that have prior exposure in investment promotion/economic development/China or ASEAN market exposure/ Experience studying or working (internships) in China/ Experience working in relevant Singapore Government agencies with an exposure to front line/ external stakeholder facing functions
8. Fluency in mandarin (both spoken and written) is essential, due to the nature of work which involves a very extremely high amount of communication with various stakeholders based in China
9. Candidates do not need to be native mandarin speakers, but the expectation is that successful candidates will be required to progressively improve their business mandarin proficiency (both spoken and written) with on-the-job training
