Employment Type: 1-year Contract, highly renewable and convertible

Location: Raffles Place, Singapore

About the Role

We are hiring on behalf of a reputable bank to fill a key position in their Operations Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing cross-border remittance transactions, account servicing for participating banks, and operational support to ensure smooth and compliant processing of RMB inward/outward payments.

Responsibilities

  • Handle the end-to-end processing of inward and outward RMB payment transactions.
  • Investigate payment issues and follow up on enquiries related to remittance instructions and fund non-receipts.
  • Respond to internal and external customer queries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collect service charges from clients in accordance with transaction terms.
  • Review and process account opening documentation for participating banks.
  • Prepare month-end reports and provide data for internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with business departments to streamline internal systems and optimize workflow efficiency.
  • Perform any other ad hoc duties assigned by the Department Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in Banking, Finance, or Accounting.
  • Prior experience in remittance operations or settlement-related functions is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of accounting principles and data analysis skills.
  • Strong communication skills in English and Mandarin to liaise with Chinese-speaking stakeholders.
  • Proactive, willing to learn, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of integrity and commitment to upholding operational and regulatory compliance.
