Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery Management

  • Plan technical deliverables, including system enhancements and upgrades, to meet project requirements within allocated budget.
  • Manage and coordinate across different application teams to handle technical dependencies of the solution.
  • Monitor and manage risks/issues related to technical delivery.
  • Provide status updates on technical delivery progress.
  • Report to the Program and/or Project Manager regarding the strategic program.

Requirements Management

  • Collaborate with System Analysts and subject matter experts to understand and implement functional and technical requirements.
  • Provide system input during the specification phase, including effort estimates and high-level delivery plans based on impact assessments.

Design & Development

  • Partner with Domain Architects, Development Managers, and Security Architects to ensure solution design complies with enterprise design principles and security standards.
  • Work with Development Managers to oversee application teams in building enhancements.

Test Management

  • Collaborate with Test Managers to ensure successful completion of System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), performance/load testing, and application security testing.

Implementation Management

  • Prepare a technical implementation plan across application teams.
  • Coordinate technical implementation activities to ensure production cutover and provide adequate post-implementation support.

Key Requirements

  • Prior IT experience in delivering projects, from complex initiatives to normal change requests; capable of planning, leading team execution, and controlling risks and issues from project initiation to closure.
  • In-depth knowledge of documentary trade financing products and processes.
  • 8+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a similar role; ability to understand functional and non-functional requirements and create technical solutions/designs for production implementation.
  • Experience in banking project implementations, particularly with AS400 systems using COBOL programming.
  • Ability to work in detail with cross-functional teams to deliver results that meet timelines and expectations.
  • Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Results-oriented, able to perform under pressure with respect to timelines and quality.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders clearly and accurately.
