The Job

Come join us in empowering partners in Youth Action and Youth Development. As an Assistant Manager / Manager (Partnership Lab – Ground-up Partnerships), you will play a crucial role in (1) designing and delivering key grants and/or platforms to support youths and informal youth groups, (2) forging and maintaining relationships with diverse key stakeholders and (3) administering relevant grants to support youth ground-up initiatives. You will also work closely with partners to provide hands-on assistance and guidance in crafting their project's key performance indicators, accessing funding opportunities and ultimately, delivering their projects.

What you will be working on:

Specifically, you will be working on the following, with the chance to be exposed to other experiences:

Grant Administration and Management

  • Assess and administer grants to ground-up youth groups. This includes the applications and closures of grants, ensuring proper governance and accounting.
  • Drive process developments and improvements to grants and work with internal stakeholders to review key processes and implement appropriate changes to enhance overall experience.
  • Perform data processing, management and reporting.

Partnership with Youths

  • Propose new ways to grow and forge partnerships to encourage and enable youth action.
  • Support youth-led ground-up projects by connecting them to relevant networks, amplification channels, mentors, grants and potential partners.
  • Maintain relationships with the curators and co-deliver activities that increase the brand awareness.
  • Coordinate and organise monthly Open Mics.

What we are looking for

  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to evolving needs of youths and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and inspire trust with young people and stakeholders.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, critical thinking and project management skill, with good ability in handling numbers.
  • Team player who can also work independently with guidance.
  • Experience working with youth and/or supporting ground-up initiatives will be advantageous.
  • Availability to work on weekends when required.
