ABOUT UNLEASH THE ROAR

Unleash the Roar (UTR) − is a national movement which aims to raise the levels of Singapore football, build strong support systems to nurture our next generation of talents and rally the nation behind the shared dream. It is a long-term, whole-of-society effort covering grassroots development, elite youth pathways, infrastructure and community / fan engagement.

One pillar of the UTR efforts revolves around scholarships which aim to transform the development journey of exceptional student-athletes by exposing them to optimal training and competition environments both locally and overseas, while ensuring their continued academic development. UTR Scholarships also supports the professional growth and development of our high potential local coaches through attachments to international clubs from matured football nations.

Reporting to Team Lead, Zonal Management and School Partnerships, UTR, your key job responsibilities are detailed below. You will also be required to support other UTR teams / initiatives during peak periods when necessary.

JOB DESCRIPTIONS:

Key Responsibilities

1. Programme & Operations Management

  • Oversee daily operations for assigned SFAs within the zone, including the SFA Combined School team.
  • Coordinate procurement, installation, and testing of portable night lights at participating schools.
  • Provide logistical and administrative support to coaches for training and competitions.
  • Promote the SFA programme to schools and expand participation among youth players.

2. Event Planning & Delivery

  • Plan and execute football carnivals, friendly matches, and related events.
  • Manage event logistics, manpower, and venue arrangements.
  • Organise awards and recognition to motivate and inspire players.

3. Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with school leaders, parents, vendors, and partners.
  • Provide regular updates and communications to all stakeholders.
  • Address concerns and resolve conflicts tactfully.

4. Administrative & Reporting Support

  • Assist the Team Lead in planning, budgeting, procurement, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with Singapore Premier League (SPL) Clubs' Centres of Excellence (COE) for player progression pathways.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of administrative tasks.

5. Support for UTR Key Projects

  • Contribute to other UTR initiatives, including the Singapore Youth League (SYL), National Development Centre (NDC), Junior NDC (JNDC), and ActiveSG Football Academies (AFA).
  • Track progress, budgets, and prepare periodic reports.
  • Support secretariat duties for key meetings, including agenda preparation, minute-taking, and materials collation.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma or Degree in Sports Management, Event Management, Education, or related field.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Experience working with schools and sports stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience in sports programme management or youth development.
  • Knowledge of football structures and development pathways in Singapore.
  • Willingness to work on weekends and travel overseas for team events.
  • This job might require working on weekends and/or travelling when necessary.
