JOB DESCRIPTION

Role Overview

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the incumbent is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial accounting and reporting across the Group while ensuring compliance with Group policies and local regulations. The incumbent will lead the Finance Operation teams across all global offices in managing month-end closing and reporting.

Role Responsibilities

Financial Management

  1. Manage and supervise finance teams across global offices in the management of financial reporting and financial controls, ensuring accuracy and timeliness while driving quality and analysis.
  2. Responsible for accurate & timely financial reporting to Senior Management, Board of Directors, and any local government bodies.
  3. Ensure compliance with Group policies and procedures.
  4. Ensure statutory audits are conducted within stipulated timeframe and filed with local statutory bodies timely.
  5. Work closely with Group Shared Services colleagues to provide guidance and supervision in producing timely and accurate financial reporting.

Internal Controls

  1. Develop SOPs for the various financial functions to strengthen internal financial controls.
  2. Identify and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency and effectiveness within the financial reporting team.
  3. Leverage technology and automation to streamline financial reporting.

Others

  1. Oversee the implementation of Group Consolidation system, Tagetik.
  2. Participate in Group projects (e.g. SAP implementation) by providing controlling and finance inputs and be actively involved in the related change management.
  3. Any other adhoc tasks as assigned by the COO.

JOB SPECIFICATION

Degree holder in Finance, Accounting, or relevant disciplines with professional qualifications and 18-20 years of working experience.

Relevant Experience

  • Experience in external audit with a Big 4 accounting firm, controllership, and regional financial reporting/management will be advantageous.
  • Expertise in finance transformation is a plus.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Ability to multi-task and operate under pressure.
  • Independent with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective at working with diverse stakeholders and teams/experience in MNC environment especially in diverse finance roles.

Professional Knowledge/ Skills

  • Proficient in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Consolidation tools (Tagetik, SAP BPC, HFM).
  • Good knowledge of financial accounting software e.g. SAP, Power BI, Merit is a merit.
