Roles & Responsibilities

The job holder will be part of a team from within the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Council to promote workplace safety and health capability building in training to enhance the national WSH standards and performance. He/she will work closely with the tripartite partners and various industry stakeholders across all sectors to facilitate on training matters, including the development of training curriculum customised to specific industry needs and requirements. These may include employers, unions, government agencies, professional bodies and TACs.


Primary responsibilities include engaging, collaborating and working together with industry partners to generate WSH awareness, training, and adoption of safe and healthy work practices at all workplaces, in addition to the adoption of technology to improve WSH outcomes.


Responsibilities:

  • Engage and develop relationships with key industry stakeholders to identify organisational learning needs to design, develop, and execute WSH capability building initiatives.
  • Work with training partners to develop online, blended /microlearning for the industry.
  • Monitor and assess the impact and effectiveness of blended learning at the individual and organisational level.
  • Ability to analyse data to evaluate the effectiveness of outcomes resulting from technology related learning.
  • Develop roadmaps for current and future generic/specific training development for the industry.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience in Learning and Development and instructional Design, especially in e-learning. Candidates without the relevant experience are also welcome to apply.
  • Technical/Engineering academic and Workplace Safety and Health Officer background would be preferred.
  • Knowledge of current trends in training and use of technology would be advantageous.
  • Strong project management, analytical and communication (both written and verbal) skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, meticulous, resourceful and ability to work independently.
  • Comfortable dealing with people at all levels, including stakeholders from other agencies.
  • Good in computer/IT skills including Excel Spreadsheet, Power BI, Power Point etc.
  • Ability to speak other languages, besides English would be advantageous.
