Job Description

• Lead and mentor an enthusiastic, experienced team of 11

brokers specialized in personal lines

• Manage and run your team to achieve the new business and retention

targets across all individual lines of business (Medical, Life and Home &

Lifestyle)

• Drive your team members to ensure they are delivering the highest

standards of advisory and service to their clients

• Advise individuals and families in Singapore on the right insurance

policy, analyse and negotiate proposals with insurers and deliver the

solution that best fits their needs and budget

• Grow our Private Advisory portfolio and achieve your annual KPI targets

while carrying on the values of the Group.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead the Private Advisory business to deliver a differentiated

client experience, service and broking

• Develop a sales-oriented, efficient culture with the implementation of

methods and sales discipline

• Achieve company objectives by driving policy retention and new business

revenue

• Manage the P&L of the team to ensure revenue and profitability

targets are met

• Manage and allocate new business and renewal cases as needed

• Develop business initiatives and partnerships that will drive new

business revenue

• Conduct employee performance reviews and ensure individual KPIs are met

in line with company guidelines

• Hire, interview and onboard new Private Advisory team members as and when

necessary to ensure appropriate staffing at all times

• Handle complex escalation cases, complaints and letters of appointments

where necessary

• Manage timely update and monitoring of our CRM and financial reporting

for your department

• Review lapsed and lost policies on a monthly basis

• Lead regular team meetings and individual sessions with team

members

• Responsible for documenting and refining renewal and sales processes

internally and with Insurers/Partners.

• Engage in strategic discussions with key insurance partners

• Organize regular internal and external training sessions for the

team

• Monitor the market to add relevant new products to the company's

offering

• Maintain knwoledge of market and main competitors' practices

• As part of the Management Team, review and design new business strategies

for the team and work with Marketing, Employee Benefits and Property &

Casualty teams on cross-selling opportunities across the business

• Monitor pipeline and portfolio for all advisors

Qualification & Requirements

• You have a minimum of 10 years experience in the industry,

with at least 5 years experience in a broking environment. Applicants lacking

that level of experience will not be contacted.

• You have experience with individual lines, dealing with private clients

and medical underwriting

• You have a relevant and successful track record in client-facing

roles

• You are an outgoing People Manager with a positive mindset and an ability

to motivate others to excel in their roles.

• You have outstanding written and verbal communication skills as well as

strong listening abilities. You are able to take sound and confident

decisions.

• You are organized and good at planning ahead as well as being hands-on

and operational.

• You know how to prioritize and keep your composure under pressure.

• You are a good networker and are able to leverage your contacts in a

business environment.

• You know how to train people, to gather them together and make them work

as a team towards a goal.

• Singapore College of Insurance Certification (BCP, PGI &

HI).

• Registered Financial Advisor (M5, M9, M9A).
