Roles & Responsibilities

The LQ and HVAC Supervisor reports to the LQ and HVAC Superintendent and is responsible for coordinating the LQ and HVAC construction activities and delivering the assigned construction work scope by meeting the specifications, timeline, HSSE and Quality requirements. Supervise and inspect all the assigned LQ and HVAC construction activities of all construction area.

Key Accountabilities

Work Nature:

Independent on regular nature of work, uses personal experience, Team Works, applies relevant company policies and procedures.

Construction Quality Activities

Oversee the fabrication and installation of LQ and HVAC construction scope which consists of several inter-related discipline in the FPSO construction plan or oversee a Topsides Fabrication / Marine Yard / Integration Yard, independently.

Supervise and inspect yard's LQ and HVAC fabrication and installation day-to-day activities and provide monitoring status including progress, issues, and concerns.

Apply knowledge in LQ and HVAC construction to improve constructability, quality, and productivities.

Organize, direct, inspect and supervise yard to ensure fabrication and installation procedures strictly follow latest drawings and specifications, comply to regulatory requirements, and fulfill equipment vendor's specifications.

Review material delivery forecast schedule in line with the requirements of project schedule to facilitate timely completion of the project. Coordinate with material procurement and logistic team regarding the delivery status, shortage, or damage materials.

Ensure that yard's works are according to latest construction's drawings, specifications, and project requirements.

Ensure that all LQ and HVAC preservation is maintained, protected and free from debris or any foreign materials.

Ensure subcontractor personnel are qualify, competent, train with appropriate certificate as per project requirements.

Ensure that subcontractor having relevant LQ and HVAC documents and performing the MODEC Furnish Equipment [MFE] Installation / Preservation as per Vendor Requirements

Review LQ piping test packages, conduct piping line check, witness piping flushing, pressure test, reinstatement, and issue punch list to contractor.

Review ducting test packages, conduct ducting line check, witness leak test and issue punch list to contractor.

Supervise and inspect flooring application, insulation installation, wall and ceiling panel installation, furniture installation and issue punch list to contractor.

Supervise and inspect HVAC equipment installation such as fire dampers, volume control dampers, backflow dampers, diffusers, heaters, AHU, PACU…to make sure the installation is as per spec or latest drawings.

Supervise and inspect galley and laundry equipment installation to make sure the installation is as per spec or latest drawings.

Follow up closely on punch close out, LQ room close out and area completion.

Participate tri-party system walk, identify, and raise punch list for outstanding items, Following up closely to close punches if any.

Implement Construction Quality Surveillance Check List and Follow-up ITR and Closeout in timely manner

Communications

Maintain good relationship with team members, reporting directly to LQ and HVAC superintendent.

Interact with internal and external departments including but not limited to engineering departments, vendors, engineering subcontractor, construction subcontractor and Client.

Facilitate communications with functional teams to ensure that issues are identified and incorporated into schedules and execution plan.

Documentation

Review / update / produce Construction documents including Best Work Practices for Construction Methodology periodically as appropriate.

Review and ensure all latest engineering deliverables are being received in line with forecast schedules

HSSE

Complies with the MODEC HSSE Policies and Standard as described in the HSSE Commitment Statement. HSSE Standards, and the HSSE Procedures to always protect people and the environment. Has a duty of care to ensure that all personnel work in a manner that is not harmful to their own health and safety and the health and safety of others.

MODEC Code of Conduct and Compliance

Must not disclose the confidential technical / non-technical information to any unauthorized person / company / competitors.

Complies with MODEC Group's Code of Business Conduct & Ethics and Policies to ensure business activities and decisions conform to the laws and regulations and demonstrates high standard of ethical behavior.

Leadership

Demonstrate interpersonal skills with effectiveness across functional, racial, and national boundaries.

Strong Working Knowledge of contractual documentation (contracts, waivers, addendums, annexes, scope changes, contractual schedule, etc.) and ensures planning and execution complies with contractual requirements.

Strong oral and written communication skills in to guide & communicate information to multi-national personnel and different levels of work force and a large variety of vendors and fabricators.

Work Conditions

Spends 100% at Site Construction Environment. Will be assigned to work full time at selected of the appointed project site, including international locations where applicable.

Normal exposure to hazards such as noise, heavy equipment, temperature extremes, chemicals, working at height for construction site environment.

Technical Competencies

  • Computer skills including Mobile Devices with proficiency in Microsoft 365, 3D Model Viewer and PDF.
  • Knowledge in construction management, project management, construction methodology principles, quality assurance and HSSE requirements.
  • Strong working knowledge of marine construction AND / OR topsides modules LQ and HVAC construction and preservation.
  • Familiar with IMO Codes, Class Rules and SMACNA standard.
  • Familiar with NR inspection requirements (is an optional advantage)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Technical college certificate.
  • Certification in a Trade Certification with track record of construction of at least 3 FPSO projects with LQ and HVAC fabrication, integration of marine and topside modules.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in onshore/offshore Oil & Gas area or FPSO EPC
  • E&I – CompEX Certification (is an optional advantage)
  • Valid CSWIP 3.1 (Level 2) / AWS: Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) (is an optional advantage).
  • Valid painting inspection certificate NACE Level 2 or FROSIO or AMPP (is an optional advantage).
  • Valid ICORR Insulation Certificate (is an optional advantage)
