Roles & Responsibilities

The 3-month Lion City Parkour Coaching Career Trial aims to onboard and train new coaches in honing up their practical coaching skills to match up with the company’s vision of bringing quality parkour education to Singapore.


In this 3 months, we will be running our first term (quarter) of classes and courses of the year. Thus, you will be going through the term with the coaches and students that will be coaching or attending.

You will introduce the coaches to learning the foundations of Parkour and Flips, writing and executing lesson and course plans, class control, structure, safety, working with a variety of different age groups such as children, adults, and seniors, as well as a variety of class types like regular beginner classes, birthday parties, CCAs, workshops, and the like.


Ultimately, we are looking for both male and female fresh graduates (post-NS), looking to get some experience in the sports coaching line of work. It will be a bonus if you already have some outside coaching experience or had work with children before. Of course, if you are open and willing to try and learn some Parkour yourself, this is also a great opportunity to do so


There will also be opportunities to immerse in our company culture, as well as finding other administrative roles that may be suitable for the others to join in. These tasks include gym maintenance, woodworking, assisting in media-related works with our media manager, front desk administration, customer service, and other miscellaneous tasks.

Career Trial Activities Plan:

Month 1: Orientation and Observation

  • Shadow experienced coaches from Lion City Parkour in a range of parkour and flips classes, observing diverse teaching techniques and student interactions.
  • Participate in select classes as a student/trainee to develop personal skills in parkour, flips, and movement.
  • Begin to familiarize with the company culture, meeting students and staff and attending the monthly coaches' gathering.
  • Learn the ropes of the company’s SOPs regarding coaching rules, gym rules, customer interactions, our booking system, etc.
  • Engage in light assisting duties, such as helping with equipment setup and class organization.

Month 2: Assisting and Active Involvement

  • Transition into more active assistance during classes, such as demonstrating basic techniques or assisting with student corrections under supervision.
  • Support younger classes (ages 3+) with hands-on experience, developing confidence and understanding of age-appropriate coaching methods.
  • Visit international school sessions to observe and learn to work with stakeholders of the school.
  • Write lesson plans and practice executing them.
  • Take on additional responsibilities in non-coaching areas, such as light gym maintenance, admin support, or wood-working projects for gym improvement.

Month 3: Independent Coaching and Role Expansion

  • Lead warm-ups, basic drills, or specific portions of classes under supervision, building toward more independent instruction.
  • Actively engage in feedback sessions with senior coaches to refine coaching techniques and address any challenges.
  • Build rapport with students and parents post-class, including video-sharing and feedbacking of their child in class group chats.
  • Review and analyze personal growth and coaching effectiveness with senior staff, discussing long-term fit and development opportunities.
