Roles & Responsibilities

While this role primarily supports the School Support Office in Singapore, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with our schools in Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, and Hong Kong, providing IT solutions and support across multiple campuses. This is an immediate hire, and we are looking for a proactive, hands-on IT professional who can hit the ground running.

Key Responsibilities:

1. System & Cloud Administration:

  • Manage and administer Google Workspace (user provisioning, security settings, policy enforcement, troubleshooting).
  • Administer Microsoft 365 (Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, licensing, security policies).
  • Oversee AWS administration (EC2, S3, IAM roles, backup policies, security configurations).
  • Provide user support for Sage 300, including troubleshooting, user access management, and system queries.

2. IT Operations & User Support:

  • Oversee day-to-day IT operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of IT infrastructure, hardware, software, and network systems.
  • Manage IT support services, troubleshooting issues and ensuring timely resolution for staff across multiple school campuses.
  • Support basic network configurations (LAN, WAN, VLANs, firewalls) to ensure system stability and connectivity.
  • Provide basic user support for HubSpot CRM, troubleshooting common issues.

3. IT Documentation & Policy Development:

  • Maintain IT asset inventories, system documentation, troubleshooting logs, and security compliance reports.
  • Develop IT policies and governance frameworks for better IT process standardisation.
  • Provide training and mentorship to IT staff and end-users on system usage, security awareness, and best practices.

4. Cybersecurity & Network Security:

  • Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies to protect against DoS/DDoS attacks, malware, phishing, and other threats.
  • Identify and deploy cybersecurity defence software (firewalls, intrusion prevention/detection systems, endpoint security solutions, anti-malware tools).
  • Monitor network traffic for anomalies and take preventive actions against security threats.
  • Respond to cybersecurity incidents, investigate security breaches, and ensure corrective measures are in place.
  • Collaborate with IT vendors to enhance security infrastructure across all school campuses.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices, including access control management and regular security audits.

5. IT Project Management & System Migration:

  • Support the School Management System migration – overseeing planning, implementation, and transition.
  • Assist in new IT system rollouts, including configuration, training, and user adoption across multiple campuses.
  • Work closely with school leadership and HQ teams to ensure IT solutions align with operational needs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
  • 4-6 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or network management.
  • Hands-on experience in Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Proficiency in AWS administration (EC2, S3, IAM, etc.).
  • User support experience with Sage 300.
  • Experience supporting School Management Systems (preferred).
  • Familiarity with HubSpot CRM support (preferred).
  • Basic cybersecurity skills, including hands-on experience with firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-malware solutions, and cloud security.
  • Experience in DoS/DDoS mitigation and security monitoring tools.
  • Knowledge of HR and Financial Solutions, antivirus software, and IT security best practices.
  • Basic networking knowledge (LAN, WAN, firewalls, VLANs).
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage IT support staff and collaborate with non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
