WorldQuant develops and deploys systematic financial strategies across a broad range of asset classes and global markets. The Role: Our Singapore office is seeking an exceptional candidate to drive our efforts of recruiting portfolio managers. Smart people want to be surrounded by smart people and this philosophy will drive and motivate how you will approach each search, each candidate, and each client. You will be the front line of representing WorldQuant and our values and will successfully demonstrate this by ensuring a positive, high-quality candidate and client experience. You realize that every touch point is an opportunity to further engage with candidates and enhance the firm’s brand. The recruiter will be thoughtful and consultative in their approach, focusing on the quality and caliber of targeted candidates.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Work with senior management to create strategy and plan related to hiring portfolio managers
- Run the hiring process for portfolio managers hires, including: sourcing candidates, evaluating talent, reference checking, making offers and onboarding.
- Build and maintain relationships with relevant recruiters in front office space
- Develop pipeline for future portfolio managers by demonstrating expert knowledge on direct sourcing strategies and establishing relationships with recruiters.
- Assist with other hiring needs.
- Create reports for senior management on portfolio manager recruiting
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Proven and identifiable track-record in searching for and placing highly successful quantitative portfolio managers.
- Background in finance, ideally buy-side experience, in a similar recruitment or new business development role.
- Experience managing their own quantitative investment portfolio would be a plus
