Job Description:

Developing, coordinating, and implementing regular activities for migrant workers Liaising with stakeholders, partners, donors, and sponsors to further advance MWCs Grassroots network. Recruiting, training , reward and retain potential migrant workers to be MWC ambassadors Maintaining an updated database of ambassadors by verifying the data through regular interactions with the ambassadors Collaborating with other units withing the organisation on activities involving or catered to ambassadors Organizing and attending meetings and/or engagement activities involving existing and potential ambassadors Escalating grievances referred by ambassadors to the respective agencies and ensure prompt updates are provided to the affected worker on the action(s) taken for such referrals Other additional projects as assigned

Requirements:

Degree in any discipline Good if have at least 2 to 3 years of relevant experience Great time management & problem-solving skills, able to work well both independently & in a team with integrity, sensitivity and knowledge Able to carry out assigned tasks independently Passionate in pursuing advocacy work related to Migrant Workers and to always maintain a positive and professional outlook Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in at least one of the migrant worker languages Able to work in a high-paced environment and support other core functions within the organization Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Willing and able to respond to urgent incidents at irregular hours A valid class 3 driving license would be preferred

Work Location

This role is primarily based at Migrant Workers' Centre Recreation Centre at 51 Soon Lee Road and may be required to work on alternative site.
