Details of the Division and Team:
Trade Finance Sales for Financial Institutions ("TFFI") will be responsible for originating, structuring, and executing trade finance solutions for banks, non-bank financial institutions ("NBFI") as well as key corporates in Singapore and the broader APAC region.
The role involves developing and originating business from FI and corporate clients to generate revenue, managing relationships internal & external stakeholders, assessing&mitigating risks by deploying hedging solutions, innovating proper product structure to suit client's requirements, working alongside the deal origination as well as implementation to streamline the executation, and monitoring the Key performance indicators on DocTrade (LC& Guarantee) across the region.
At the heart of Deutsche Bank's client franchise is the Corporate Bank, in the TFFI sales position of both structuring and solutions, sits in between Trade Finance & Lending ("TFL") sales and ICT sales, originating from both corporate and FI markets. Trade knowledge and experience from both corporate and FI relationships. Team player – capable to work with different business lines and different countries across the region and globally.

Your key responsibilities:
- Originate major opportunities from key corporate clients by working together with TFL sales and services. Front to back end execution, including pricing and structuring, KYC, documentation and approvals, restructuring dialogues etc
- Work together with ICT sales on the key FI related trade opportunities such as guarantee reissuance and FI trade loans, as well as MRPA for de-risking purposes.
- Measured on revenue growth, increase in client penetration, share of wallet, cross selling and acquisition of significant deals and clients.
- Developing and executing management plans with tactical and strategic objectives to grow business revenue from key clients in focused countries.
- Understanding client's business cycle, industry developments and problem statements.
- Outstanding quantitative and analytical skills, including structuring and pricing expertise.
- Ability to coordinate with various partners such as Trade Finance sales, ICT sales, Trade finance services and operations, trade products, Risk and portfolio management, compliance & AFC etc.
- Meeting clients locally, regionally and globally to forge close relationships in an entrepreneurial and cost effective manner;
Role is required to be performed on-site at One Raffles Quay office. Relevant vaccination requirement applies.
Your skills and experience:
- 8 years+ of working experience in the sales function related to trade finance products for the client segments related either corporate or FIs;
- Strong understanding on trade finance products such as Letter of Credit, Guarantees, Supply Chain finance and Trade Loans / Lendings etc, as well as the experience on the deal execution / implementation.
- Sales and relationship management: proven ability to development and manage internal and external client relationships; Able to manage the strategic dialogue and communication. Solid senior relationship with clients - either corporate (commodity) or FI (coverage, trade finance or distribution) or MDB (Multilateral Development Banks) etc,
- Credit & Risk Management: Familiarity with credit assessment, risk mitigation (country and FI risks) and ability to structure and price the complex trade finance transactions by adopting proper hedging solutions;
- Analytical skill & strategy development: assist senior manager to cover the business origination and development for whole Asia Pacific region, including data analysis and strategy planning;
- Ability to build trustworthy and sustainable internal and external relationships.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to drive result through close collaboration with global/regional network within coverage and product organization.
