Kitchen Supervisor
Ramen Nagi is looking for a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to oversee the back-of-house operations and ensure the highest standards in food preparation, safety, and efficiency. As a renowned ramen restaurant, we take pride in delivering authentic flavors, and we need a strong leader to maintain the quality and consistency of our dishes.
Key Responsibilities:Kitchen Operations & Food Quality- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Maintain high-quality standards in food preparation and presentation, ensuring consistency in our signature ramen dishes.
- Ensure all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards are strictly followed.
- Oversee kitchen cleanliness and organization to meet health and safety regulations.
- Monitor ingredient usage and ensure stock levels are maintained efficiently.
- Work closely with suppliers to manage inventory and control food costs.
- Minimize food wastage through proper portioning and storage practices.
- Conduct regular stock checks and ensure accurate inventory records.
- Train and guide kitchen staff on proper food handling, preparation techniques, and safety procedures.
- Schedule and manage shifts to ensure adequate staffing without overstaffing.
- Enforce kitchen discipline and address performance issues when necessary.
- Foster a positive and cooperative work environment among the kitchen team.
- Conduct regular checks on food quality, taste, and presentation before serving.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, including temperature control, storage, and cleanliness.
- Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for kitchen operations.
- Maintain kitchen records, including temperature logs, hygiene checklists, and inventory reports.
- Assist in menu development and suggest improvements for kitchen efficiency.
- Collaborate with management to address kitchen-related concerns and implement improvements.
- Handle any other kitchen-related duties as assigned by the employer.
- Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts, Food & Beverage, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a kitchen supervisory role, preferably in a Japanese or ramen restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety standards, and hygiene practices.
- Leadership skills with the ability to train and manage kitchen staff effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high food quality.
- Must be able to work 6 days a week, including weekends and public holidays.
