In this key leadership role, you will drive risk framework development, stress testing, regulatory compliance, and governance reporting, working closely with senior management and key committees. Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full suite of risk management functions, with a strong emphasis on Credit Risk (priority) or Liquidity Risk, ensuring comprehensive risk oversight.
  • Implement and refine the enterprise-wide risk management framework, including risk appetite statements, governance structures, and Management Trigger Actions (MATs).
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate credit, operational, technological, market, and liquidity risks, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead credit risk assessments, including Lending Guidelines reviews, stress testing (credit, liquidity, and interest rate), and portfolio risk analysis.
  • Ensure proper monitoring and control of asset-liability management, including liquidity risk management, contingency funding plans, and stress testing frameworks.
  • Regularly review and update risk-related policies, including the Contingency Funding Plan, Business Continuity Management framework, and MAS compliance frameworks.
  • Serve as Secretary to the Board Risk Management Committee and other key risk-related committees, ensuring regulatory compliance and governance oversight.
  • Oversee operational risk management, including self-assessment processes, operational loss event investigations, and risk mitigation planning.
  • Manage vendor risk assessments, ensuring compliance with MAS Outsourcing Guidelines and Technology Risk Management regulations.
  • Work closely with business units to strengthen risk management culture, providing training and guidance on risk policies, governance, and controls.

Requirements

  • Min. Degree in Finance, Risk Management, or related field; professional certifications (e.g., FRM, PRM, CFA) are a plus.
  • Extensive experience in full-spectrum risk management within financial institutions, with strong expertise in Credit Risk (priority) or Liquidity Risk.
  • Deep knowledge of MAS regulations, Basel standards, IFRS 109, and stress testing methodologies.
  • Proven ability to develop risk frameworks, engage senior management, and implement risk controls effectively.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills, with the ability to communicate complex risk concepts to stakeholders.
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English to liaise with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
