Roles & Responsibilities

Responsible for supervising or executing all electrical activities in the installation, such as maintenance execution, power generation and safety work, ensuring their register on CMMS, acting as RPE for that assigned vessel, maintaining a high standard of preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance, so that they are carried out technically efficiently, in compliance with schedules, MODEC procedures, maintenance philosophy, national and international regulations and standards, in order to contribute so that all electrical equipment and systems are operational and preserved for the assigned unit.

Perform as a Electrical & Instrumentation Supervisor for Offshore Projects (Fixed Platforms and FPSO) and reports to the Site Manager/Project Manager of the project

Core Responsibilities

Supervise, follow up and participate in all services and operations related to the Electrical discipline, acting as RPE for the assigned vessel, in order to ensure the safe and efficient functioning of all plant and machinery in the unit, as well as emergency equipment, thus contributing to the production and revenue target achievement.

Contribute to an effective response to emergencies on board by being part of the Emergency Response Team, participating in all trainings, simulations and acting properly in a real situation, in accordance with MODEC's procedures, guidelines, as well as national and international regulations and best practices.

Contribute to the proper planning of offshore activities by supporting Planner Offshore and Maintenance Supt in the prioritization and scheduling of services to be performed onboard, participating in discussions along with other Offshore leaderships, when requested, and duly approving all WOs for Electrical works on the CMMS.

Contribute to the MODEC's Permit to Work management systems' implementation, by acting as originator of PTWs and Perform Authority for Electrical works, ensuring the correct isolation of equipment and machinery, guaranteeing all Electrical employees and vendors working on Electrical activities are properly trained and certified, in accordance with MODEC procedures, and attending, when requested, internal or external audits.

Ensure the organization and cleanliness of the Electrical Workspace and E-house, as well as the control and inspection of tools, in order to ensure their availability, their correct use and conservation.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of Modec fleet performance by participating on, when requested, RCAs, investigations of NOIs/NODs, HAZID/HAZOPs, following up or acting upon CAPAs, sharing lessons learned and promoting a culture of continuous seek for performance and integrity enhancement opportunities.

Request the purchases of material for maintenance services according to the schedule performed or needs.

Know, enforce, and ensure full compliance of corporate requirements for safety in electrical installations and services, NR-10, NR-37, ABNT NBR IEC 60079, ABNT NBR IEC 61892, other related statutory, regulatory, flag and class requirements.

Ensure compliance with the Safety (HSEQ), PTW and Task Risk Assessment (TRA) policies, isolation standard and delivery of equipment after maintenance, keeping informed of all updates in the Integrated Management System (IMS) and ensuring the same by the team.

Communicate to the Maintenance Superintendent all critical deficiencies, request technical advice as necessary and prepare, follow up and close out any necessary vendor assistance on board for the Electrical department, in liaison with relevant leaderships, as well as develop action plans to mitigate the problem.

Control stocks of spare parts, consumables, tools, lubricating oils and chemicals related to Electrical department by requesting the necessary materials for the team's activities in a timely and optimized way.

Act proactively to safeguarding MODEC from noncompliance to legal/regulatory requirements by ensuring MODEC's procedures, internal and external regulations, national and international standards are followed by both Electrical core crew and 3rd parties on board, participating in audits and inspections in the unit, developing and ensuring the implementation of action plans when required.

Good coordinate responses to Site related queries, supervise and monitor work status and progress.

To be able to work closely with contractors to maintain material and works quality/standards according to project specification.

Engage with sub-contractors and plan for the priority activities in line with sequence of works. Ad-hoc jobs has assigned by Site Manager/Project Manager

Qualification:

  • Discipline-specific Technical Degree is required, bachelor's degree of discipline-specific Engineering is a competitive edge (electrical/electrotechnical).
  • Minimum 8 Years of experience as an E&I Supervisor in the Oil and Gas Industry.
  • Willingness to work in Offshore environments and comply with safety regulations.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Good sense of team spirit.

Technical Competencies

  • Minimum advanced English is required.
  • Fluent English is a competitive edge.
  • Intermediate Office Package knowledge is required.
  • Basic CMMS knowledge (SAP preferred) is expected.
