Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Junior Events and Multimedia Support Specialist to assist in the planning, coordination, and delivery of virtual, hybrid, and live events, while supporting multimedia content development and IT security practices. This role is ideal for a tech-savvy and detail-oriented individual looking to grow their career in event production, virtual communications (VC), and secure IT environments. Working closely with senior producers and IT teams, you will help ensure smooth event execution and high-quality multimedia experiences for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Support senior producers and event teams in organizing and executing virtual, hybrid, and live events.

Assist with setting up and managing VC platforms (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, WebEx) including technical checks and live event support.

Help with basic multimedia content coordination, such as collecting and formatting presentations, videos, and graphics.

Participate in technical rehearsals, supporting clients and speakers with VC tools and presentation setup.

Ensure all event-related IT and VC setups follow security and compliance guidelines under supervision.

Provide real-time technical assistance during events, including basic troubleshooting of VC, audio, and video issues.

Document event processes and technical setups to support knowledge sharing and process improvements.

Stay current on VC technology, multimedia trends, and IT security best practices, contributing ideas to enhance event experiences.

Collaborate with vendors, internal teams, and client contacts as needed to assist in event delivery.

Requirements and Qualifications:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Communications, Media Production, IT, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

1-2 years of experience in event support, multimedia production, IT support, or VC/AV services (internships or freelance experience also considered).

Basic understanding of VC platforms (Zoom, MS Teams, WebEx) and familiarity with event production environments.

Awareness of IT security principles, including safe data handling and secure VC practices (training will be provided).

Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail.

Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer service mindset.

Ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues related to VC, presentations, and multimedia playback.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel); familiarity with creative tools like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere) is a plus but not required.

Willingness to work on-site at event venues as needed, including occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends based on event schedules.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have but Not Required):

Hands-on experience with live streaming tools (OBS, vMix, Wirecast).

Familiarity with basic video editing and graphics tools.

Knowledge of basic AV equipment (microphones, cameras, projectors).

Exposure to corporate IT environments and understanding of enterprise security protocols.
