Kanchipuram Cafe is a leading vegetarian Sattvic restaurant in Singapore, renowned for its authentic South Indian flavors. We are now expanding our culinary repertoire to include Andhra vegetarian cuisine, offering a unique blend of traditional recipes and bold flavors that highlight the richness of Andhra Pradesh.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Chef with expertise in Andhra vegetarian cuisine. The ideal candidate will have a profound knowledge of traditional Andhra recipes, spices, and cooking techniques, along with the creativity to innovate while maintaining the authenticity of the cuisine.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Andhra vegetarian dishes, including spicy curries, rice specialties, snacks, and traditional desserts.

Maintain the taste and quality of dishes to meet customer expectations and uphold the restaurant's standards.

Develop new dishes to enhance the menu while preserving the essence of Andhra cuisine.

Ensure adherence to hygiene, safety, and quality standards in the kitchen.

Oversee kitchen operations, including inventory management, food costing, and waste control.

Train and mentor kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and consistency in food preparation.

Requirements:

Minimum of 10 years of experience specializing in Andhra vegetarian cuisine.

Deep understanding of Andhra cooking techniques, spice blends, and traditional recipes.

Knowledge of Sattvic food principles is a bonus.

Strong leadership and organizational skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Proficiency in Telugu and/or English for effective communication.
