At Genetec, we know that hiring, retaining and managing the best talent is a key driver to our collective success. We are looking for a passionate, ambitious, self-motivated, results-driven Channel Sales Specialist to help us achieve our objectives.

The role of the Channel Sales Specialist is to provide support for Genetec partners and help them to execute sales strategies to drive sales and business growth. The Channel Sales Specialist is based in Singapore and will report to the Channel Sales Team Lead.

What your day will look like:

  • Develop and maintain an extensive working knowledge of Genetec's software solutions, including ability to create small- to medium-sized system designs with their associated BOMs
  • Define product and functional requirements based on customer requirements
  • Assist in the development of tailored sales tools and related presentations as needed that helps account sales teams successfully position, sell, deploy and use Genetec solutions
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations
  • Ability to cold call identified clients – either within the account or mutual end-user customers
  • Provide ad hoc consulting on Genetec’s products for cross and upsell opportunities
  • Forecast, manage and report on ongoing sales and pipeline activity
  • Issue quotes to assigned territory
  • Monitor trends and then apply those learnings to improve future programs
  • Work closely with suppliers and various departments for special pricing opportunities
  • Communicate regularly with field reps and channel partners to drive marketing and sales activities
  • Research technical information on product requests
  • Responsible for updating relevant customer information in CRM – including but not limited to activity, funnel, opportunity updates, organization, and contacts information
  • Work with Customer Service in tracking the pending sales and pushing for revenues by collaborating with internal and external stake holders like SI partners and Distributors to achieve revenue goals set for the region
  • Flexible to work during off peak hours to collaborate with colleagues in Singapore and Montreal to ensure the sales operations is achieving its goals. This would be mainly applicable ones in a week and close follow up during Month ends, Quarter ends and Financial Year ends.
  • Respond to enquiries from customers via email, chat, phone and video calls
  • Responsible for the “overflow” of CSS work across APAC and responsible for the Advantage Program
  • Pro-actively generate business opportunities with new and existing customers through the support and direction of the Sales Team
  • Work with internal pricing systems and sales team to manage customer’s daily RFQs by processing quotes promptly
  • Qualify and develop marketing generated inbound leads and respond to product inquiries from various lead sources, including all marketing campaigns, website, call-ins, email, events and other channels
  • Qualify high value potential prospects for sales and channel managers to follow-up
  • Reach out to customers to renew maintenance contract and technical certification
  • Handle software capability questions in the sales process
  • Work with prospects to thoroughly understand their requirements and align their needs with our solution
  • Coordinate handoff of fully qualified leads to Sales
  • Build a great customer experience by guiding channel partners navigating the Channel Partner Portal platform
  • Presentation to large audiences (1: many) utilizing web conferencing technologies
  • Implement concepts from ‘The Challenger Sale’ book
  • Actively understand and keep up to date with our solution, technology and industry trends to effectively communicate the value proposition and ROI of our offering
  • Adapt and evolve CSS role and go through digital transformation

Requirements

  • Diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a sales role in outbound calling and emailing, preferably B2B environment.
  • Experience in customer service and relationship building are highly desirable, with a positive attitude to achieve highest quality customer satisfaction
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Good business analytical skills
  • Experience in the IT software security industry would be of advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and CRM software such as Microsoft Dynamic CRM.
  • Candidate with no prior work experience but with positive attitude and willingness to learn are welcome to apply
