Learning Facilitator

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Learning Facilitator's primary role is to provide additional support, specifically for children between the ages of 3 to 6 from disadvantaged backgrounds. The Learning Facilitator (LF) will be responsible for the delivery of standardised assessments, planning and implementing engaging and effective lessons, monitoring learning progress and outcomes and communicating with parents and early childhood educators to support the children's success and achievement.
- Assessment, Plan Curriculum and Programmes
- Assess children's learning using prescribed methods/tools and identify children who are eligible for the programme
- Plan small group pull-out lessons to support children's learning needs using the curriculum curated by EID
- Develop appropriate teaching materials
- Collect and analyse data (including student's baseline progress during and after the programme) to evaluate outcomes
- Review programme outcomes and propose improvements
- Deliver Interventions
- Deliver support based on the needs of the children, appropriate methods and tools to meet the learning needs of the children.
- Support class teachers to implement teaching and classroom management strategies to increase children's participation and learning in the class
- Evaluate the effectiveness of lessons conducted
- Conduct post-assessments
- Track children's learning progress
- Prepare reports on children's progress
- Manage student behaviour and maintain a safe and positive classroom environment
- Collaborate with Stakeholders
- Collaborate with early childhood educators, school personnel and parents through regular communications (e.g. constructive feedback on student progress/needs, recommendations to support student success and achievement)
- Engage families to enhance children's learning results
- Professional Practice
- Participate in professional development and service quality improvement activities
- Engage in reflective practice
- Provide feedback on the applicability of proposed teaching and intervention practices
- Document accurate and confidential student records (including lesson plans, lesson summary, communication with early childhood educators and parents, assessment
- scores, etc) in compliance with guidelines regarding student confidentiality
- Classroom Support
- Provide support and assist class teachers in the classroom routines as assigned.
OTHER ASSIGNMENTS/PROJECTS – Adhoc operations matters from time to time
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Qualified early childhood educator (L2)
- Experience in teaching students in N1 to K2 levels (min. 3 years experience)
- Preferably trained in specialized literacy and language programme(s) (e.g. Jolly Phonics, etc)
- Knowledge of differentiated instructional strategies to cater to diverse learning needs (preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and school personnel
