Head of PMO, Group Digital

As a PMO Head, you will lead internal initiatives to ensure that they align with scope, time, budget, and quality expectations by effectively planning, controlling, and overseeing the process. Coordinates the efforts of both internal teams and third-party vendors to devise and implement solutions for internal challenges and concerns. Utilises extensive subject matter expertise to address a wide range of common and complex business issues, offering suitable alternatives.
Owns and manages the entire resource mapping across Group Digital, governing overall resource allocation and usage across internal and 3rd party product and technology team.
Engages in tackling problems of varying complexity and scope and may take on the role of a team or project leader, providing guidance to team activities and facilitating the information validation and decision-making process. Demonstrates independent judgment in identifying and selecting solutions, with the ability to handle unique situations, and may seek advice when making decisions on complex business issues.
Key responsibilities:
- Managing project delivery, including assessing business impact and meeting budget requirements.
- Working with Group Chief Digital Officer to discuss overall allocation on business resources across product and technology teams, including the tracking requirements of Finance.
- Leading the project team and managing internal and external resources.
- Continuously seeking opportunities to improve systems and procedures to maximise team efficiencies.
Requirements:
- Education: A bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field is typically required. Proven experience in digital strategy development, e-commerce, and retail operations is essential. Previous experience in a leadership and management role within the retail or digital commerce industry is highly desirable.
- PMO experience: PMO leader with proven experience in project management or PMO roles. Thorough understanding of project management methodologies and tools. Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite. Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders concurrently. Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, Prince2) would be advantageous.
- Retail Industry Expertise: In-depth knowledge of the retail / FMCG industry, including consumer behaviour, market trends, and competitive landscape. Familiarity with the challenges and opportunities of the retail sector in the digital age. Prior experience doing offline store digitalisation will be a significant plus
- Digital Skills: Strong understanding of digital technologies, e-commerce platforms, and omnichannel retailing. Familiarity with data analytics, customer relationship management (CRM) systems, and digital marketing tools.
- Business Acumen: Excellent business acumen with the ability to understand the retail group's goals, strategies and financial metrics. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities and drive business growth. Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Stakeholder Management: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve digital transformation objectives.
- Leadership and Change Management: Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead and inspire teams through digital transformation initiatives. Change management expertise to facilitate organizational change and ensure successful adoption of digital strategies.
- Proficiency in English. Ideal to have additional language skills relevant to our operating markets (Chinese, Cantonese, Bahasa Melayu, Bahasa Indonesia, Vietnamese if possible)
- Travel: Travel (>25%) is expected to support the Group’s projects across our DFI footprint
