WHAT TO EXPECT

This role oversees the end-to-end processing of General Insurance (GI) applications, ensuring operational excellence and adherence to regulatory requirements. This role also involves engaging key stakeholders, including internal departments, external insurers, and partners, to drive strategic goals, improve service delivery, and enhance customer satisfaction.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Operations Management:

  • Oversee the entire GI processing cycle, from application submission to policy issuance and claims management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Streamline workflows and processes to improve operational efficiency and accuracy.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics, addressing any bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
  • Drive automation and digital transformation initiatives within the operations team.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including insurers, agents, financial consultants, and vendors.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operations with organizational goals.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for escalation of operational issues and stakeholder inquiries.
  • Provide regular updates and insights to senior management on operational performance and stakeholder feedback

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor a team of GI operations staff, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Identify training needs and opportunities for professional development within the team.
  • Manage resource allocation to ensure timely and effective processing of GI applications.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify and implement process improvements to reduce processing time and enhance customer experience.
  • Lead initiatives to classify and manage adverse cases effectively, ensuring a structured and transparent approach.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to ensure the organization remains competitive.

Risk and Compliance Management

  • Ensure robust controls are in place to mitigate risks related to GI processing.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews to identify areas of improvement and ensure compliance with internal and external requirements.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in insurance operations, with a focus on GI processing.
  • Good knowledge for all GI product classes
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing teams.
  • Team Player with good verbal and written communication skills to collaborate and influence outcomes
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and implement process improvements.
  • Knowledge of GI regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Powerpoint and Excel
