Roles & Responsibilities

Responsbilities:

An opportunity for job candidates out there who wish to pursue a role as a Principal Medical Technologist in a clinical laboratory.

  • Maintaining consistent standards of care for complex cases
  • Constant review to improve standards of care, planning and managing department budget, manpower and deployment
  • Lead inter department workgroups to deliver and improve service within the Centre.
  • For supervisory role will be further required to manage the laboratory with roster planning, coaching of junior/new staff, resolve all technical queries as well as ensuring compliance to relevant accreditation bodies.

Job Requirements:

  • min. BSc in Biomedical Science or equivalent with at least 5-8 years experiences in one of the section (haematology/ Clinical chemistry/ Blood transfusion service).
  • Good laboratory, planning and organisational skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive with good leadership skills
  • Good IT skills.
  • Service orientated and customer focused.
  • Able to work independently as well as a team
