My Client is a prominent leader in the global food industry, known for our innovative approach and commitment to delivering high-quality, sustainable, and delicious food products.
Position Overview:
We seek an experienced and results-driven Brand Manager to join our dynamic marketing team. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of both General Trade and Modern Trade channels, as well as strong experience in media management and distribution. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in the food industry, and possess the skills necessary to manage and grow our brand presence effectively.
What you'll do:
- Brand Strategy Development: Craft and execute brand strategies tailored to General Trade and Modern Trade channels, ensuring alignment with UMA Global Foods' business goals. Develop plans to drive brand growth and maintain consistency across various market segments.
- Market & Distribution Insights: Leverage your understanding of distribution networks and sales experience to optimize brand presence. Conduct comprehensive market research to identify opportunities, trends, and competitive dynamics.
- Media & Advertising Management: Manage relationships with media agencies, oversee media buying, and coordinate with advertising and ad design agencies. Develop and execute promotional campaigns in collaboration with promotions houses to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
- Campaign Execution: Lead the creation and implementation of integrated marketing campaigns, including digital, print, and experiential initiatives. Ensure campaigns effectively reach target audiences and drive brand objectives.
- Brand Positioning & Messaging: Define and communicate the brand’s unique value proposition. Ensure all brand messaging and positioning are consistent and resonate with our target consumers.
- Product Launches: Oversee new product launches, including market positioning, go-to-market strategies, and promotional activities. Monitor and assess launch performance to drive ongoing improvements.
- Brand Health Management: Track and manage brand health metrics, including awareness, perception, and loyalty. Implement strategies to enhance brand equity and address any issues that may arise.
- Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with internal teams, including sales, product development, and creative, to ensure alignment with brand goals. Lead and motivate a team to achieve brand objectives.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the brand budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and maximizing return on investment. Track financial performance and adjust strategies as needed.
What you'll need:
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field, as well as an MBA or advanced degree, is advantageous.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in brand management, with a strong focus on the food industry
- Extensive experience with media agencies, media buying, advertising, ad design, and promotions houses.
- Strong understanding of distribution networks and sales dynamics.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Creative thinker with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive results.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms.
- Ability to work largely on the ground, engaging directly with market dynamics.
