Head Chef

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled and ambitious Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. As the Head Chef at our fusion concept restaurant, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service. You will play a pivotal role in menu development, staff training, and maintaining a seamless workflow.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Director in planning and executing menus that reflect our unique fusion concept, incorporating Japanese ingredients into French-Italian cuisine.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to recipes and standards.
  • Take a hands-on approach to food preparation, cooking, and plating, leading by example and maintaining consistency in quality and presentation.
  • Oversee inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stock rotation, to minimize waste and ensure freshness.

Requirements:

  • Interested applicants with no prior experience but possess strong willingness to learn are welcome to apply.
  • Basic culinary skills with a passion for experimenting with flavours and techniques will be advantageous.
  • Knowledge or interest in French, Italian and/or Japanese culinary traditions and/or cuisine is good to have.
  • Good time management and organizational abilities, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • A team-player with good communication skills and a positive attitude is important.
  • Relevant culinary qualifications and certifications is preferred, but not mandatory.
