Roles & Responsibilities

As a Consulting Manager - Education Sector you will lead and manage the delivery of personalized educational consulting services to foreign families and students seeking to find the most suitable schools in Singapore. This role involves providing expert guidance on the local education system, school selection, and enrollment processes, ensuring a seamless experience for international clients. The manager will also collaborate with schools, educational institutions, and government bodies to stay updated on policies and best practices in the sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Consulting and Advisory: Serve as the primary point of contact for foreign families and students seeking educational solutions in Singapore. Assess the educational needs and preferences of clients, recommending the best-fit schools based on their specific requirements (e.g., academic performance, extracurricular activities, school culture, etc.). Provide expert advice on Singapore's education system, curriculum options, admission criteria, and application processes. Facilitate the school selection process, assisting clients in understanding the unique offerings of each institution.
  2. Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with foreign clients, ensuring their needs are met at each stage of the school selection and enrollment process. Ensure that client expectations are met and exceeded through professional, empathetic, and timely communication. Conduct regular check-ins with clients to provide updates and address any concerns.
  3. Collaboration with Schools and Institutions: Establish and nurture partnerships with key educational institutions (local schools, international schools, and higher education providers) to stay informed on enrollment procedures and eligibility criteria. Coordinate with schools to understand their offerings and share relevant updates with clients.
  4. Market Research & Reporting: Stay informed about the latest developments in the education sector, including changes in regulations, policies, and emerging trends. Conduct research to understand the needs and preferences of foreign students, ensuring the service offerings align with current demands. Prepare reports on industry trends, client satisfaction, and school performance to inform the company's strategic direction.
  5. Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor a team of junior consultants, providing guidance, training, and performance management. Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture within the team, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and tools to serve clients effectively.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Education: Diploma in education, business, or a related field. A master's degree or additional certifications in education consulting, international education, or project management is a plus.
  • Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in education consulting, school administration, or related fields, with a strong understanding of the Singaporean education system.
  • Client-Facing Skills: Proven experience in client relationship management, with the ability to provide personalized solutions and empathetic service.
  • Leadership Abilities: Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage, motivate, and develop a team of consultants.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (additional languages, such as Mandarin, would be an asset).
  • Knowledge of the Education Sector: In-depth knowledge of local schools, international schools, and higher education institutions in Singapore.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and offer practical solutions for clients.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with CRM systems, MS Office, and educational management software.
  • Cultural Sensitivity: Understanding and respect for cultural differences, particularly in working with international clients and diverse student populations.
