Position overview
We are searching for experienced executive to take up senior leadership role in Bilby Community Development. The Executive Director will report to the Board of Directors, and is responsible for the leadership and management according to the strategic direction set by the Board.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with the Board on the vision, mission and strategy for the organisation
Leadership & Management
- Provide leadership to the organisation in the design, delivery and quality of the organisation's social service programmes, in particular to meet the needs of the community.
- Comply with governance for charitable organisations.
- Oversee the management and operations of programme.
- Support the Board in identifying and monitoring risks for the organization and implement measures to mitigate such risks.
- Support the Board in monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the organisation's Programmes.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, partners, community members, and government agencies.
Financial Management and Fundraising
- Work closely with the Finance support the fund raising efforts of the organisation and to develop a sustainable programme for funding and donor relations.
- Develop and manage the organization's budget, ensuring financial stability and sustainability.
- Lead fundraising efforts, including grant writing, donor relations, and major fundraising campaigns.
- Build and diversify funding streams to support programmatic goals and long-term financial health.
Human Resource & Operational Management
- Determine staffing requirements for organisational management and programme delivery.
- Supervise and mentor a team of staff members, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional development.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in nonprofit management.
- Ensure proper staff orientation and training.
- Supervise volunteer manager to establish a clear volunteer utilisation strategy and robust and effective volunteer management processes.
- Establish a positive, healthy and safe work environment for all staff and volunteers.
Community Engagement and Advocacy
- Represent the organization in the community, advocating for youth-focused policies and initiatives.
- Engage with youth, parents, community leaders, and other stakeholders to identify emerging needs and opportunities.
- Foster partnerships with other organizations, businesses, and government agencies to enhance service delivery.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Nonprofit management or any related field.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in managing management and team.
- Experience working with boards of directors and developing organizational strategies.
- Knowledge of local youth service needs and community resources.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation and communication skills.
