About The Bridgespan Group

The Bridgespan Group ("Bridgespan") is a global nonprofit that aims to build a better world by strengthening the ability of mission-driven organizations, philanthropists, impact investors, and corporations to achieve breakthrough results in addressing society's most important challenges and opportunities.

Founded in 2000, Bridgespan has offices in Boston, Johannesburg, Mumbai, New York, San Francisco, and Singapore. Across these six locations, we have a diverse team of staff with varied backgrounds and experience across multiple sectors.

We work with social change organizations such as BRAC, CAMFED, the Harlem Children's Zone, Janaagraha, Noora Health, PolicyLink, and UnidosUS; philanthropies such as the Tanoto Foundation and the Ford Foundation; impact investors such as TPG's Rise Fund, ABC Impact, Black Ambition and the Impact Investors Council of India; and bold, collaborative initiatives such as TED's Audacious Project, Blue Meridian Partners and Co-Impact.

About Bridgespan Southeast Asia
Bridgespan Southeast Asia is our newest office globally. Since our office opened, we have completed advisory projects on a range of issues, including education, climate, health, and many others and published several knowledge reports and articles. Our clients include prominent international and regional foundations doing work throughout Asia and beyond, such as the Tanoto Foundation, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and other large private family offices and trusts; impact investment funds such as ABC Impact; nonprofits such as Tenure Facility, the Asia Pacific Resource & Research Centre for Women (ARROW); ecosystem actors such as Asian Venture Philanthropy Network (AVPN), and several other confidential engagements. Project examples include:

• Advising a family foundation in reorienting their philanthropy towards impact, including developing strategies for each of their issue areas
• Supporting sourcing and due diligence for a philanthropic collaborative
• Strengthening operating model for regional foundations that are experiencing rapid growth
• Supporting impact diligence and portfolio company success for impact funds
• Developing cross-cutting sectoral knowledge reports, such as 'Promoting Equitable and Inclusive Green Job Growth in Southeast Asia', and 'The Philanthropic Potential of Asia's Rising Wealth'

About the Consultant position
Consultants play an important role at Bridgespan, working to provide nonprofit and philanthropy clients with powerful data, analyses, and strategies that allow them to increase their impact. Consultants, as members of case teams, develop independent work plans and take ownership of significant portions of client work. To facilitate the development of strong client relationships, Consultants are often partnered with members of the client team. It is expected that Consultants will quickly assume team and client leadership responsibilities.

The Bridgespan Group invests deeply in the training and development of each Consultant. While most of the training is on the job, Consultants attend formalized training sessions throughout their career at Bridgespan, beginning with an extensive orientation program. As the Consultant progresses, there are training programs that focus on developing deeper consulting skills. Bridgespan Consultants also participate in training programs with Bain Consultants from around the world. Bridgespan helps each Consultant build a successful career: cracking tough problems, communicating solutions with clients and teams, and collaborating across levels, including with Associate Consultants and Managers.

Once fully onboarded, Consultants will follow our 50-50 staffing model, which means that they will work on two projects at a time with different teams. Consultants enter as generalists working on projects that range considerably in topic and client profile, making this ideal for candidates who are enthusiastic about exploring the full range of work we do. Consultants will also have the opportunity to be staffed on research and writing projects so that leaders everywhere can benefit from the insights Bridgespan gleans in its work. Responsibilities

• Independently plan and manage work modules that address core strategic issues for clients
• Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis
• Gather data through interviews and secondary research
• Generate creative, action-oriented insights and recommendations
• Facilitate joint problem-solving sessions with mid-level and senior-level clients
• Write and deliver high-impact presentations and plans
• Contribute to Bridgespan's knowledge capture, creation and dissemination
• Provide coaching and mentorship to junior members of the team
• Play an active role in firm and culture building (e.g., recruitment, training, team-building events)

Be prepared to work 50-55 hours per week, on average, with variation week to week in response to client needs.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of professional experience, including at least two years in strategy consulting.
• Strong education background, preferably a postgraduate qualification (e.g., MBA, MPA, MPP)
• Demonstrated passion and commitment to working in the social sector and on society's most important challenges.
• Has strong analytical skills and creativity in problem-solving.
• Is proficient in verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in the English language. Proficiency at least one Southeast Asian native language will be an advantage
• Ability to simultaneously manage multiple moving parts (e.g., work planning, time management, management of stakeholder expectations).
• Ability to build client relationships, work effectively in a team environment, and facilitate joint problem-solving.
• Ability to apply a lens of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in analysis.
• Has an inclusive and collaborative mindset
• Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to assist in building our growing office.

Location

This position is based in Singapore, and we will seek to fill this vacancy by early July 2025. The expected start date would be Q3 of 2025, but we are happy to explore an earlier start date in Q2 of 2025.

All Bridgespanners are expected to work from the Bridgespan Singapore office (located within the offices of Bain & Company) for a minimum of two days per week. This policy is designed to offer meaningful opportunities for in-person relationship building and mentorship while offering staff considerable flexibility.
