About the Role:
As the Head of APAC Cloud Acquisition, you’ll play a central role in Confluent’s Customer Growth go-to-market strategy. Responsible for leading our Cloud Acquisition business across all of APAC, you and your team are the heart of our new logo sales growth engine. This team of Cloud Sales Managers and AEs is passionate about acquiring new customers, growing the streaming data ecosystem, and developing their sales skills. You will be measured on your team’s overall quota, new logo acquisition, and growing Confluent usage.
The Cloud Acquisition Team is a new business sales function focused on landing new Cloud Customers and growing consumption within their accounts. As a crucial part of our sales team, you will have access to hot markets, numerous resources, and a diverse set of supportive leaders. This is a second-line leader role responsible for running our Cloud Acquisition Team across APAC. With front-line managers based in India and Singapore and reps spread across all of APAC, this role requires a dynamic, experienced, and forward-looking leader. We’re looking for a passionate leader who is motivated by building, determined to overperform, and eager to make an impact.

What You Will Do:
- Proactively hire, train, coach, and manage a team of motivated Cloud AEs and Managers, increasing Confluent’s footprint in strategic and emerging markets.
- Inspire a culture of hard work, collaboration, learning, customer love, and ongoing improvement.
- Develop productive and trusting relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Hire, coach, and inspire front-line managers and Cloud AEs.
- Encourage and support continuous learning and understanding of a technical product and technical customer base.
- Build and execute your team’s success plans, ensuring forecast accuracy and the growth of a predictable, ambitious business.
- Grow consumption in PAYG and Commit accounts (ARR) across your territory.
What You Will Bring:
- You are motivated by building a collaborative, high-performing, inspired team culture.
- You have about 8+ years of people-managing experience building and managing high-growth teams across APAC as a region, serving customers within the Cloud, Data, or SaaS sales industries. 1-2 years of second-line experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated history of exceeding sales quotas and KPIs in high-growth, competitive companies.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate the business value of complex cloud technologies, especially with technical customers.
- Proven ability to solve complex business problems and adapt to the fast-changing nature of high-growth companies.
- Passionate about growing your career and developing an in-depth understanding of Confluent Cloud products, use cases, and customers.
