Executive, College of Healthcare Engineering

The College of Healthcare Engineering is at the forefront of integrating Engineering Research, Innovation, and Education within a clinical environment. This pioneering venture aims to revolutionise patient care by integrating engineering directly into the healthcare landscape to significantly enhance patient health outcomes.
Reporting to the College Chairperson, you will be responsible for the office and administrative requirements of various business-related functions for the College. You will provide secretariat support which includes overseeing the daily operations of the College to ensure efficiency and effectiveness, regular engagement with the College leadership team and contribute intellectually to the expansion and advancement of the College’s mission. In addition, you will coordinate, organise and promote biannual large-scale networking events to foster healthcare engineering collaborations. You will also facilitate the College’s projects to develop and manage a comprehensive database of engineers in the Academic Medical Centre (AMC) and provide support to professional development of AMC Engineers by publicising workshops, seminars, conferences, certification programs and leadership and training opportunities. You will assist the College leadership to acquire funding from philanthropic entities and other sources to support initiatives. In addition, you will perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the College Chairperson and/or the College Leadership team.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or in a related discipline. Candidate with Master’s Degree will be preferred.
- Minimum 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience
- Strong organisational skills, and excellent communication abilities and able to handle general personnel practices, accounting and budgeting principles and coordination of major administrative functions.
- Demonstrate track record of planning and executing events
- Aptitude for networking and community building, and familiarity with funding acquisition
- Proficiency in social media management and web content creation would be advantageous
- Experience in healthcare would be an added advantage.
- Proactive approach to professional development and commitment to continuous learning are expected.
- Adept at multitasking and willing to take on varied tasks as needed
