Roles & Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced and self-driven Accounts Manager for one of our shipowner clients. The Accounts Manager will play a key role in supporting the CFO and leading a team to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. The ideal candidate would have strong technical accounting skills, proven team management experience, and the ability to drive improvements in accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team of accounting professionals (minimum 6 staff)
  • Oversee full spectrum of accounting functions, including monthly closing, taxation, and management reporting
  • Review subsidiaries' management reports and prepare group consolidation reports
  • Prepare annual budgets and rolling forecasts
  • Coordinate statutory reporting and liaise with external auditors and advisors
  • Review and submit GST filings and tax schedules, and liaise with tax agents
  • Prepare transfer pricing documentation
  • Implement and optimise accounting process workflows
  • Resolve complex accounting issues and approve transactions in the ERP system
  • Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for management
  • Set KPIs for the team and conduct regular performance evaluations
  • Foster a positive and motivated team culture

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting or related discipline
  • At least 5 years of experience managing full sets of accounts across multiple entities
  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and reporting requirements
  • High integrity and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Experience with Business Central ERP is an advantage
