Make Your Mark:
As a Senior Solutions Consultant—also known as a Senior Solutions Consultant or Senior Sales Engineer—at BlackLine, you’ll be at the forefront of our sales support efforts. This role is integral to helping prospective customers understand the value of our solutions, focusing on pre-sales activities rather than post-sales implementation or consulting.
Your expertise will drive successful engagements by demonstrating how our solutions meet the specific needs of each prospect. You’ll work closely with the sales team, using your problem-solving skills to build strong relationships and ensure client satisfaction.
You'll Get To:
- Collaborate with the Sales team to address technical, software, and accounting inquiries from prospects.
- Conduct thorough needs analysis calls to understand clients' unique challenges.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest product functionalities and apply them effectively.
- Deliver tailored demonstrations of BlackLine’s modules, showcasing how our solutions meet the specific needs of prospects.
- Complete ROI Analysis to highlight the financial benefits for prospective clients.
- Assist with and review Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and Information (RFIs).
- Share BlackLine best practices, use cases, and client success stories to inspire confidence in our solutions.
- Engage with the BlackLine Community, serving as a Moderator and thought leader.
- Educate prospects and clients through webinars, training sessions, and hands-on trials.
- Prepare and deliver customized demonstrations using client-specific data.
- Participate in client/prospect roundtables, conferences, and other events to showcase your expertise
- Document key activities in Salesforce and other tools.
- Support other initiatives as needed.
What You'll Bring:
- A talent for building strong relationships and trust with clients through consultative selling
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to understand client needs and align product functionality with their business goals.
- Integrity, trustworthiness, and sound judgment
- Experience as a Solutions Consultant, Presales Consultant, or Sales Engineer at the enterprise level.
- Demonstrate integrity, trustworthiness and good judgment
- Previous enterprise level experience as a Solutions Consultant 5+ years
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics or Business Administration or work equivalent
