Account Manager/Senior Account Manager, Hub Strategy

About Hub Strategy
Hub Strategy is responsible for developing and executing national strategies to strengthen Singapore’s value propositions as a business hub by (i) attracting headquarters, (ii) facilitating international organisations (IOs) which support industry development across government and (iii) enhancing connectivity.
You will be part of the team which focuses on headquarters and international organisations. This includes activities such as industry studies, statistical analysis, programme development and execution and engaging with public and private sector stakeholders.
You will report to an Assistant Vice President in Hub Strategy.
The official title for this role will be Manager or Senior Manager, Hub Strategy.
[What you will be working on]
In this role, you will:

Sense: You will conduct in-depth analysis of global trends, including those pertaining to technology, business models, regulations and skills to derive relevant insights and implications for Singapore’s hub development strategies. This will be conducted using a combination of quantitative and qualitative data such as meetings, commissioned studies and economic and employment data.

Develop: You will design and develop value propositions and programmes to encourage targeted foreign investment in Singapore and support long term local industry development by working closely with other teams in EDB and relevant external partners in government and industry.

Execute: You will implement strategies, policy changes and industry development programmes by working closely with internal stakeholders as well as industry and government agency partners to implement strategies.

Account Management: You will serve as the whole-of-government contact person with respect to IOs. This includes engaging a diverse range of IOs as well as government agencies to advance policy and strategy outcomes for Singapore as well as executing and navigating required processes and systems to undertake project assessments and administer IO-specific incentive schemes.
You will be responsible for leading workstreams in Hub Strategy and you will also have opportunities to exercise peer leadership in inter-divisional and inter-agency working groups.
[What we are looking for]

At least 3 years of relevant work experience in a strategy, consulting, policy, research or industry development role

Excellent analytical and conceptual thinking - able to structure analysis for complex / ambiguous issues, using qualitative and quantitative data, to make sense of new subject matter to distil insights and actionable solutions

Keen business acumen – able to identify opportunities for Singapore at an industry level

Excellent project management and leadership skills – able to lead cross-functional projects, manage multiple workstreams, and deliver outcomes effectively and efficiently

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Strong interpersonal and influencing skills – able to engage and influence internal and external stakeholders at all levels of seniority

Adaptable – able to identify and respond quickly to changes in the business environment and changes in priorities

Organised – able to establish and run processes and workflows for projects in a structured manner

Good team player and an independent thinker
