Claims Executive, Reinsurance

We will count on you to:

  • Serve as first point of contact for day-to-day communication with numerous and/or complex accounts, follow up on correspondences as well as deliver exceptional service to clients
  • Interfacing with clients, placing brokers, retail office colleagues, (re)insurers, claims experts and other parties.
  • Identifying potential policies and coverage for incoming claims, performing independent research to seek validation or clarification where necessary
  • Notifying (re)insurers of any new claim in a prompt manner and keeps them fully updated as the claim progresses. This involves the registration of the claim on the system, the issuance of PLAs, RLAs, DLAs, debit & credit notes and the collection of both indemnity and expert fees with regular follow up in order to deliver timely collections.
  • Handling complex issues pertaining to claims complications, claims processes and/or claims collections, escalating where necessary.
  • Providing prompt, clear and accurate advice to clients and other parties on any claims matters

What you need to have:

  • 3 to 6 years' of reinsurance claims experience in insurance brokerage and/or underwriting
  • Good understanding of (re)insurance policies, contracts/slips and their commercial aspects
  • Experience in handling large and complex (re)insurance claims
  • Able to multi-task and work well under pressure
  • Able to work independently as well as within a team in a fast paced environment
