Transport & Logistics ("T&L") is a business line of ING Wholesale Banking Sector Coverage providing financial solutions to leading players in Automotive, Aviation, Containers & Logistics, Land Transport and Shipping. It is a dynamic team with offices in Amsterdam, Brussels, Frankfurt, London, New York, Singapore, and Tokyo. The Singapore team (~17 FTE) is looking for a talented Director to lead and develop our regional strategy and client relationships in the Aviation sector.

Our strategy is to use sector knowledge and our network to service and grow our client base and together with product partners originate mandates across ING's product offering with a key focus on lending (bilateral, club and syndicated), sustainable finance and financial markets (fuel, foreign exchange, and interest rate hedging). The T&L sector continues to be fast evolving and plays a vital role in today's supply chains and global economy. As digitisation and sustainability are critical to the success of our business, you are set for an exciting environment to operate in.

The Director role will be instrumental for the success of T&L's Sector Coverage business, and you will be working in close cooperation with the Global Lead Aviation, Regional Head Transport & Logistics, senior relationship managers and product specialists within the ING Wholesale Banking Platform.

Job Responsibilities:

Development and management of client relationships in the Aviation sector in APAC.Drive idea generation and loan origination.Structuring, pricing, and negotiation of lending and non-lending transactions independently.Providing strategic direction and leadership for the Aviation sector in APAC. Coordinate and foster collaboration with portfolio and transaction management and key product partners in sustainable finance, financial markets, debt capital markets, capital structuring and advisory and transaction services.Identify and monitor development and opportunities within the Aviation sector in APAC.Recognition of our responsibility to society and contributes to defining new ways of doing business that align economic growth with positive environmental and social impact.Managing the various approval and documentation processes.Monitoring various supporting operational processes to ensure smooth execution.Monitoring client due diligence (know-your-customer) processes.Reviewing various operational monitoring reports and management information data.Pro-active and regular coaching / mentoring of talent to ensure performance and personal development.Embracing diversity and inclusion.What we're looking for:12+ years of relevant working experience in the financial services sector.In depth knowledge of and experience in the Aviation and generally T&L sector.Detail oriented, systematic, and strong analytical skills.Energetic with problem solving approach to drive business.An effective team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.High level of self-motivation and professionalism with ability to be hands-on and multi-task.Entrepreneurial with a high degree of commercial drive and initiative to grow the business.Graduate or post-graduate degree holder in Business/Finance or other relevant disciplines.Ability to work independently on complex transactions and under challenging timelines.Drives innovation and challenges status quo to achieve process and procedure efficiencies while still ensuring ING remains a safe and compliant firm.Good command of spoken and written English.Our offer:Working with a highly successful team, operating in a fast changing and vital sector in today's global economy with a keen eye on sustainability.An informal and dynamic environment where your contribution will make the difference.Steep learning curve with lots of responsibility to take it on and make it happen, trainings and future short term assignment opportunities.
