Position Summary

Supply Chain Product Line Organizations guide the technological direction across business segments, acting as a crucial point of contact for both business and technology. Product Line members collaborate with BTLs, Technology, and Business Leaders to identify and prioritize solutions and ensure consistent implementation across the business. They exert strong influence and enthusiasm to drive the organization towards cohesive technology solutions that align with an overarching technology strategy. Product Line Owners (PLOs) continuously strive to optimize the throughput of various product lines and products, ensuring that the business reaps the benefits of the implemented technology capabilities. PLOs take charge of enhancing efficiencies and effectiveness within their product areas, possessing a deep understanding of external technology capabilities in the market and their potential application to drive business value for J&J.

We're seeking a Product Owner accountable for the APAC region to support the Deliver Product Line Organization and its sub-product lines, encompassing Distribution, Transportation, Labelling & Printing, and Customer Connectivity. This role plays a vital part in the Supply Chain Technology - Business Technology organization to cater to all J&J businesses under the MedTech Sector.

This position involves overseeing the management of Supply Chain Deliver Product Lines and spearheading the creation of the product line's roadmap, strategy, and execution. Direct collaboration with the SC Deliver leadership team and supporting entities is essential to revolutionize logistics through quantifiable enhancements. The job responsibilities include managing numerous large programs and developing logistics products within a typical portfolio value of approximately USD 15MM throughout the year.

Key attributes of the role:
  • Technology Product Strategy: Spearheading the development of a technical product strategy to drive tangible business value. This involves crafting product roadmaps emphasizing continuous improvement aligned with evolving business strategies, integrating emerging technologies, overseeing product lifecycle management comprehensively, and organizing capacity to meet demand efficiently. Additionally, managing tactical ongoing operations and incident response.
  • Business Analysis: Delving into business requirements to grasp the opportunity scope while ensuring defined acceptance criteria. Proficiency in understanding customer-centric design and keeping abreast of emerging technologies is crucial. Experience in leading product ideation strategies is also paramount. Supporting product backlog, positioning, and development from pilot to launch is another facet of this role.
  • Functional & Technical depth: Extensive knowledge encompassing various aspects like Warehousing/logistics solutions, Distribution, Transportation, Data Acquisition & Analytics, Labelling & Printing, Warehouse Management, and established integration standards including EDI and API. Ability to translate business requirements into technical user stories, lead end-to-end project estimations and delivery employing technically skilled resources. Enhancing the technology product's features, functionalities, and capabilities, evolving based on continuous customer feedback. Managing the scrum team for effective sprint planning and execution.
  • Ability to translate vision to strategy to roadmap: Balancing between discovery and delivery, anticipating future needs, and proactively enhancing product features. Ensuring products/solutions meet service level expectations and applying Agile solutioning concepts for rapid value delivery through user design, prototyping, Minimal Viable Products, and continuous improvement. Conducting consistent research and exploration to evolve the product journey in alignment with growing Business needs.
  • Product Delivery: Being responsible for product delivery across the portfolio and ensuring traceability to ROI for global and regional product delivery. Maintaining a high level of predictability in solution delivery, collaborating with Technology Services to enhance the portfolio's effectiveness and efficiency. Accountable for meeting OPEX/CAPEX targets.
  • Credo-focused leadership and talent development: Coaching and mentoring individuals to excel in product management, with a dedication to fortifying the SC BT talent pipeline for effective succession planning through a diverse talent pool. Serving as a passionate advocate and role model for diversity & inclusion.
Basic Qualifications Required Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Information/Business Systems Management, Business and/or Supply Chain Management, Computer Science.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience with documenting and analyzing business requirements, defining future operational scenarios and use cases as Epics and User Stories.
  • Proven track record in shaping technology solutions and influencing business stakeholders.
  • Strong Presentation and storytelling abilities.
  • Background in Supply Chain Deliver/Logistics-related product management.
  • Proficiency in logistics systems and emerging technologies/Industry 4.0 with demonstrated outcomes.
  • Leadership experience in nurturing talent and fostering highly effective, collaborative teams with a successful history of program, project, or product delivery.
  • Experience in Product and Program Management deploying significant IT capabilities across multiple sites and regions.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering complex projects and programs utilizing Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience delivering global and/or regional initiatives.
  • Background in Shared Services IT Operating Models supporting multiple functional and organizational units via shared services organizations.
  • Strong Business Acumen with the ability to collaborate with business partners, define a logistics product strategy, and associated capabilities.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Experience in customer experience, warehouse automation, analytics, inventory, last mile visibility, serialization, IoT, warehouse labelling and printing.
  • Proficiency in SAP EWM and Sales and Distribution, SAP Hybris, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, EDI, Python, BI, WMS, Voice Picking, Labelling, Contract Management, Batch Management & Serialization, Machine Learning & AI Capabilities.
  • Familiarity with modern integration best practices and cloud-native architecture.
  • Knowledge of healthcare, cross-sector experience, process improvement, management, and budgeting/forecasting.
  • Ability to apply IT solutions in solving business challenges, excellent interpersonal skills, motivation to excel in a team-oriented environment, exceptional service orientation, and strong negotiation abilities.
  • Experience collaborating closely with stakeholders at all organizational levels, particularly in managing executive-level stakeholders.
  • Understanding and application of Design Thinking to support requirements, architecting, developing, and optimizing systems and solutions for an exceptional user experience.
