He/She will be responsible for the following:

  • Review and analyse business requirements.
  • Digitize key operational processes that support SIA's operations.
  • Have experience in designing and developing using Microservices architecture.
  • Develop and maintain data services with a high level of resilience and monitoring capabilities, handling large data volumes.
  • Design and develop Restful APIs/Webservices for missioncritical operations and digital channels, supporting high transactional volumes and large datasets.
  • Follow Agile software methodologies for development.
  • Collaborate with different stakeholders to implement new features and ensure prompt resolution of system issues.

Requirements:

  • Possess a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of coding experience utilizing Java, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Groovy, Python, Regular Expression, Spark, Kafka, and Microservices.
  • Proficient in Kafka and messaging queues for realtime data streaming and messaging requirements.
  • Experienced in designing and implementing caching solutions for service delivery.
  • Familiarity with implementing custom error monitoring and utilizing logging frameworks such as Splunk.
  • Strong analytical, project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledgeable in software development methodologies such as Agile and SDLC, as well as digital development platforms, tools, and deployment technologies.
  • Some degree of capability in other areas (network, servers, operating systems, security, middleware, and opensource software such as JBoss and Nginx) will also be advantageous.
  • Willingness to learn and experiment with new technologies to support operational use.
  • Ability to manage vendors to ensure standards and timely delivery.
  • Experience with CI/CD on cloud computing platform
  • AWS.
  • Knowledge / practical experience in digital UI/UX domain is preferred.
  • Knowledge/practical experience in integration platform is preferred.
