Customer Optimization Specialist III, Customer Optimization

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including the public sector.
As a Customer Optimization and Acceleration Specialist II, you will be a key player in boosting financial success for AWS customers. Your tasks include creating and delivering executive-level content, serving as an expert in cost and commercial aspects across the customer life-cycle, and providing clients with tools for efficient cloud and IT spend management.
Moreover, you will take the lead in identifying reporting needs, setting KPIs, and handling multiple strategic requests to ensure continuous progress and success in customer transformation and optimization initiatives.
Key job responsibilities:
- Act as a financial advisor and work closely with the AWS account team to develop and deliver executive content (e.g., financial business case, Return on Investment and Total Cost of Ownership Analysis, cost optimization strategies)
- Become proficient in all cost and commercial aspects throughout the customer life-cycle
- Educate and empower customers with tools for effective cloud and IT spend management
- Analyze customer's reporting and analytic requirements, and propose suitable solutions
- Establish and track KPIs to monitor the progress and success of transformation and optimization initiatives within customer organizations
- Manage multiple requests strategically and efficiently
- Understand and communicate best practices in billing, forecasting, and budgeting

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10+ years of experience in Microsoft Excel
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience in developing systems/tools for CRM, revenue reporting, forecasting, etc.
- Experience in defining and implementing sales processes and policies
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with Salesforce or other CRM and BI tools
- Experience in presenting to senior leadership
