Responsibilities About the Role**- Ensure customer and internal projects are implemented against the agreed timeline and budget

  • Manage DHL driven projects such as Systems, Innovation and new business wins
  • Play a keys role in SL business model and they deliver our promise to the customer
  • Ensure consistent practices are defined & rolled out across the entire Service Logistics network (warehousing, transport, call centres)
  • Ensure all functions (involved in selling, implementing & managing operations) follow & maintain standard practices
  • Set global standards (best practices) which work for the countries
  • Identify & drive innovations (new practices) to stimulate growth
  • Set Network productivity targets which drive EBIT growth
  • Drive process improvements to increase productivities
Project Implementation

  • Lead and drive projects (customer projects, IT, Ops, Innovation projects)
  • Drive customer engagements to align customer processes and requirements against DHL standards and propose solutions to be validated with customers
  • Manage the budget, scope and timelines for every single project
  • Manage customer requirements and expectations for every single project
  • Provide regular updates on project implementation progress to senior management and sponsors to enable overall project progress monitoring
  • Negotiate project implementation costing and manage project implementation costs tracking and allocation of costs to business owners
Change Management

  • Raise non standards during the implementation life cycle
  • Tightly manage change request that come up during the life cycle
  • Gatekeeper of the standards during the implementation cycle
Communications

  • Provide regular project status to project team
  • Communicate to Project Sponsors
  • Communicate project status, changes, and progress to customers
Continuous Improvement

  • Lead continuous improvement projects
Project Costs Recovery from Customers

  • Manage project within the customer funding
  • Protect scope and hence the budget of the projects
  • Recover project costs from customer

Types of Projects
Transformation and Innovation (eg Automation, RPA - robotics process automation etc)

  • Develop roadmap
  • Drive process and people change
  • Manage customer expectation
  • Determine baseline, track benefits
  • Prepare BCA (business case) for investment approvals
IT Related Projects

  • Negotiate IT vendor costs
  • Manage IT configuration plan
  • Drive operations process change and people change management
  • Hypercare and golive
Other Projects

  • WH Migration
  • Start Ups new sites, new countries, new business scope

Requirements:

  • 810 years of Supply Chain Management Experience
  • Experience in project management with consulting experience a plus
  • Experience in working and accomplishing tasks within a crossfunctional/matrix type organization
  • Experience in strategic projects and analytical skills
  • Excellent influencing skills
  • Ability to work under stress and with tight deadlines
  • Ability to handle and relate large quantities of data
  • Operations Research skills such as scheduling and network modeling
  • Team Player with good communication skills
  • Results oriented
  • Ability to work close together with other functional disciplines
  • Willingness to travel
