Work with and support COO Singapore in execution of the COO mandate to support the Bank's growth strategy by providing reliable, scalable and efficient services to BJB Singapore Branch daily operations, including the development of bank-wide infrastructure, enhancing operational effectiveness and supporting branch related initiatives.


YOUR CHALLENGE:

Key Features and Accountabilities

Work with and support COO SG on the following:

Run-the-Bank

  • Lead, direct and work across with different peers, internal and external business partners to ensure location business is running well for business expansion and aligning with the risk and compliance requirements
  • Work closely with various stakeholders in supporting to drive, manage, coordinate the deployment of various initiatives/ policies/ regulatory requirements/ projects that are initiated/ sponsored by COO office
  • Track and follow up on account opening pipelines and implement process improvement opportunities to the account opening process

Change-the-Bank

  • Develop and assess COO strategy in conjunction with COO function Heads, and coordinate the delivery of these strategic initiatives, whilst ensuring buyin from a host of internal stakeholders across the broader organisation
  • Scope and execute projects to support implementation of the Bank's growth strategy
  • Review, identify, redesign and implement COO processes to further improve their effectiveness, efficiency, and quality
  • Act as a change agent who leads the local implementation of global/regional strategic change projects with the business

COO SG Management Support:

  • Supports planning of COO SG strategy and budget (incl. budget tracking and rolling forecast process)
  • Serves as the assistant to COO and responsible for the coordinating and directing the administrative activities within the office
  • Prepare management cockpits to track delivery of COO services to Front Office and other business functions
  • Prepare materials and indepth analysis for management meetings

Regulatory Responsibilities &/OR Risk Management

  • Demonstration of appropriate values and behaviours including but not limited to standards on honesty and integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations

Professional and Technical

  • Degree in Business, Finance, Banking, Economics or equivalent and with 810 years of working experience (private banking/wealth management, inhouse or external consulting preferred)
  • Proven experience of successfully shaping, leading and executing ChangetheBank initiatives
  • Conversant with all facets of change management process including
  • Designing an approach and plan
  • Cocreating business cases, analysis and justification
  • Driving and managing the project to ensure readiness and implementation needs are met
  • Delivering project outcomes and tracking benefits
  • Able to demonstrate leadership in crossdivisional taskforce, with recommendation and solutions benefiting business growth and efficiency, whilst in compliance of risk and control
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen and the ability to understand and contribute to business cases
  • Good analytical and problemsolving skills (incl. Excel)
  • Strong presentation skills (incl. Powerpoint)
  • Resource management and confidential handling of proprietary and sensitive information
