**Overall Job Purpose

Coordinate and control the sub system Handover in a FPSO, dealing and trading with Construction team, Commissioning/ Mechanical Completion team, Engineering Team and HSEQ team.

Prepare the handover documents packages for all subsystems and get the handover check list completed by the handover time.

**Core Responsibilities

  • Plans and engages the Commissioning Manager, Construction Manager, Engineering Team, HSEQ team to provide the proper results during the handover process to Operation. Repost straight to Commissioning Manager and Deputy Commissioning Manager
  • Operates into Project data bank and Mechanical Completion system assigned for the project.
  • Follow up the Marine Mechanical Completions managing the Completion System and clearing the outstanding item, finalizing the Marine system ready for commissioning.
  • Commissioning of Marine Systems, Functional test and system certification with Class Society (DNV, ABS, LOYD, BV, etc.) as part of handover process
  • Reviews the commissioning deliverables developed such as commissioning execution plan, commissioning core test plan, and PTW/LUN/LOTO procedures, to ensure compliance with the overall commissioning execution plan and project timelines regarding all the Marine and Top Sides system regarding the Handover to Pre-Ops team as part of SOW.
  • Participates in meetings with the project team to review progress and addresses interface and handover process issues with client, operation team and Commissioning team.
  • Independently deals with regulatory authority, class, vendors and clients with regards to comments or queries on completions engineering deliverables and develops technical/engineering solutions to the issues raised.
  • Follow up the planned progress and update the action look ahead together the planning team
  • Provides assistance to Commissioning Team during the full handover process
  • Leads the handover walkthrough meetings and overall process
  • Guides the junior staff to understand the technical and project required functions through discussions or knowledge sharing sessions in the light of the Company's standards, procedures and engineering requirements.


Plans and carries out audits of procedures, safety practices and documentation/records on the department and site execution team to ensure compliance, and identify gaps and training enhancement requirements of team members regarding the handover process.

Financial and Operational Dimensions/Impact and Decision-making Authority

  • Is not involved in decision making on financial matters. Decisionmaking is centered on technical/engineering matters.
  • Performs technical evaluation of FPSO/FSO systems and equipment in consultation with project team members and provides professional inputs based on the requirements for Completions Engineering. Mentors the junior staff within the department and motivates them for career development
**Work Relationships

  • Reports to Commissioning Manager and Deputy Commissioning Manger
  • Work together Commissioning Engineers with regards to completions engineering.
  • Interacts extensively with client and project team.
  • Interacts with project team members/engineers from other departments to address commissioning technical concerns/requirements. Interacts with site team members/engineers/supervisors from construction and quality departments to address site technical concerns/requirements related to precommissioning and commissioning activities.
**Job Challenges and Problem Solving

  • The main challenge is to independently review various complex commissioning handover deliverables, analyze the documents and highlight the shortfalls through vigorous review process and address these shortfalls with the completion engineering team.
  • Guides and motivates the completion engineering team to carry out work within the stringent project timelines through awareness of the project's unique constraints.
  • Another challenge is to conduct analytical review of complex progress reports in order to systematically identify issues and from there, address these issues in a timely manner.
  • Manages the demanding expectations of clients which may range from addressing gaps to unexpected work scope variations while ensuring conformance to the project, regulatory and contract requirements.
