We are now recruiting for a

Senior Manager Market Development & ESG (Bulk Marketing) and this exciting new role will be responsible for developing our future markets and customers in addition to leading ESG for bulk marketing

***Report to the Global Head of Marketing & ESG (Bulk), you will be entrusted with the following responsibilities:
  • Lead global market development activities for bulk marketing and ESG collaborating with strategy, technical marketing and sales teams to drive our market development agenda
  • Lead ESG thought leadership for bulk marketing including building an extensive external network and positioning our market profile
  • Identify, evaluate, build and secure support for investment cases for new market development and ESG opportunities
  • Work across our commercial teams (including sales, technical marketing, strategy steel decarbonization, marine, procurement, trading) and product groups to lead the creation and execution of solutions to our customers and industry's ESG challenges and opportunities
  • Develop the market development and ESG team, build marketing capability and be a role model in care, courage and curiosity across our sell organization
  • Collaborate across the bulk marketing and ESG leadership team to deliver our strategy and key priorities
  • Bring or build deep knowledge of iron ore, bauxite, alumina and ESG and leverage this knowledge to drive new ideas, ways of thinking and the voice of the market to our broader organisation

What you will need for the role

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Tertiary educated with at least 5 years of commercial experience
  • Creative in working with our customers and partners to solve challenges and seize opportunities including proven ability to build new relationships and business
  • Comfortable in the ambiguity of the new and developing ESG industry and working in a matrix organisation
  • If you do not have a technical background must have strong interest in technical aspects of our business
  • Strong influencer and communicator
  • People leader and enjoys developing people
  • Experience in either market development and/or ESG
