As a ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) Consultant, you play a crucial role in advising and guiding clients on incorporating sustainable practices and principles into their business strategies.

You will be responsible for assessing and analyzing environmental, social, and governance factors, identifying risks and opportunities, and developing and implementing ESG frameworks and initiatives.

You will collaborate with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to promote responsible business practices and drive positive societal and environmental impacts.


Responsibilities:

ESG Strategy and Implementation:

  • Provide expert advice and guidance on ESG strategies, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Conduct comprehensive ESG assessments and gap analyses for organizations.
  • Develop and implement ESG policies, procedures, and action plans aligned with industry standards and stakeholder expectations.

ESG Reporting and Disclosure:

  • Assist in the preparation of ESG reports, disclosures, and sustainability metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant ESG reporting standards, such as GRI, SASB, TCFD, or industryspecific frameworks.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather relevant data and information for ESG reporting purposes.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to promote ESG integration and responsible business practices.
  • Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and awareness campaigns to educate stakeholders on ESG topics.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their ESG objectives and provide tailored recommendations and solutions.

ESG Risk Management:

  • Identify and assess environmental, social, and governance risks and opportunities.
  • Conduct research and analysis to evaluate the impact of ESG factors on business operations and reputation.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies and recommend appropriate ESG frameworks and practices.

Impact Measurement and Evaluation:

  • Design and implement frameworks to measure and evaluate the social and environmental impact of organizational initiatives.
  • Analyze data and prepare reports to assess the effectiveness of ESG programs and initiatives.
  • Provide recommendations for continuous improvement and enhancing ESG performance.

Industry Research and Trends:

  • Stay uptodate with ESG trends, regulations, and emerging sustainability practices.
  • Conduct industry research to identify innovative approaches and benchmark against industry peers.
  • Share insights and recommendations with clients and internal stakeholders.

Collaboration and Relationship Management:

  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, including finance, legal, operations, and communications, to integrate ESG considerations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, industry experts, and external organizations involved in sustainability and ESG.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years experience in ESG consulting, sustainability, corporate social responsibility, or a related field.
  • Indepth knowledge of ESG frameworks, reporting standards, and industry best practices.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of sustainability indices, such as Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) or FTSE4Good.
  • Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present information effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Detailoriented with strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in using ESG software and tools (e.g., sustainability management systems, ESG data platforms).
  • Professional certifications in ESG/sustainability (e.g., CSR-P, GRI Certified, SASB Fundamentals) are desirable.
