Full Time gallery assistant position is now available at Cape of Good Hope Art Gallery

We are looking for an individual who received an education related to the arts, has an interest in paintings and sculptures by local artists and fluent in both mandarin and English.

The gallery assistant would learn progressively about the following tasks and carry them out confidently in time to come.

  • General matters which include maintaining the cleanliness of workplace
  • Administrative matters which include invoicing, generating delivery orders, updating gallery website, liaising with external vendors etc
  • Sales matters such as entertaining guests visiting the gallery, replying to enquiries, keeping track of payments and keeping in touch with clients
  • Content creating matters for social media which include editing short videos and taking pictures of the gallery and artists.
  • Event matters which include designing posters, invitations and setting up of gallery space for art exhibitions.
The gallery assistant would not be working on Mondays and Saturdays or Sundays. He/she has to be present at the gallery during public holidays unless otherwise stated.
